Ordered the blue TW , but it won't be delivered till Sunday now. My thought process is that I got a black Pitaka incoming and having a different colour to black so that it will be a bit different if I want to change cases.

You might be onto something here. I just had another look at my dBrand Grip for my iPhone Air and yes there are them ridges that can potentially dig in and scrape the phone and cause damage. However on my usage with it, I haven't noticed it.
To be fair, it’s impossible to drop it since it is very grippy.
You don’t have to worry about phone’s coating if you’re using silver iPhone.

Haven’t had the sunset. But imo the fit on the black/gray was unacceptable for an $85 case. Not sure if it was just my unit though.
Ok mine looks really tight and there is no deformation or bends on the case near the CC or Power Button part.

Mine was for the Pro Max and I do see yours is a Pro variant, either way I returned mine as I didn’t want to keep rolling the dice to get a good one and I still think it’s way too expensive for what it is. I know you got yours for around $50 though, that makes way more sense than $85 imo.
I am rocking the Black/Gray Ultra Slim and absolutely loving it, I usually go for the 1500D variants but got tired of the all the designs and just wanted a clean look. I do agree with what you mentioned earlier, the smudges aren’t a deal breaker for me and can be a quick wipe down, the case is just so good in hand and just a joy to hold every time I pick my phone up.

isnt there a slight gap right at the edge of the camera control button area? could see abit of the phone frame peeking through

no the gap is between the screen protector that I have on , I see no dark blue of the iPhone frame at all tbh.
The iPhone Air macro shot prowess is no existent so I had to do 2x and close up as possible whilst keeping focus lol
Yeah the feel is a big different to my the one on my Air, it feels more silicone tbh, but will need a bit more time for it to bed in I guess. Will use it as my daily once they have moved my esim over to it.
