The Spigen EZ-Fit on Amazon UK says it'll fit both the 16 Pro Max AND 17 Pro Max, even though the 17PM is slightly bigger. Unsure whether to order.

This year is tough because the phones own anti reflective screen is rendered useless with a plain glass protector.

Unusually go flolabs with their AR and polarized glasses friendly protectors. But I don’t don’t see one with the 3D edge except the privacy model.

Torras had their origarmor what is supposed to be AR but it looks like the 17 pro models the protector covers the speaker instead of a little notch. I feel like that impacts sound?

What is the white part on the back of the Apple Clear Case?
For MagSafe? It looks ugly imo.
Wrong thread. Anyway, Torras on the way 🙌

I'm beginning to be curious if we are suppose to use a screen protector with the Air or not. They said during the show it has anti-glare/reflective built in. Is a screen protector going to harm that and also Apple DOES NOT have a Belkin version for the Air on their site, they have one for all the models except the Air. It's actually a very good question, especially watching alot of the YouTube hands-on videos and them saying the same about the built-in anti-reflective/glare tech in the screen....
And question 2 is the bumper going to work with a screen protector because it looks like a tight fit...

Usually I get the Belkin or Spigen protectors, but I can't find any for the 17 Air currently.

I only found 1 Amazon listing but not sure it fits the 17 Air - they call it "iPhone Air 6.6" ??

I also found it odd that Apple is offering screen protectors for the Pro models but, not the Air. I bought some protectors off Amazon today. Like you, I will keep an eye out for Belkin and Spigen.

I just posted about that too and even said are we suppose to use a screen protector with the Air. They claimed during the show and alot of YouTube hands-on videos are pointing out also that it has a built-in Anti-Glare/Anti-Reflective coating. Will a screen protector harm this? Plus the bumper looks like a tight fit, can it even fit a screen protector. Something to know before we open our screen protectors from Amazon so we can all return them if need be.... I ordered the ESR one before realizing that Apple doesn't have Belkin ones and started to question if we are suppose to use them on the Air...

ESR is what I ordered as well. I am going to watch the presentation on the Air again as I don't recall what was said in that regard.

Thanks for the post. I just watched the presentation and they failed to mention improved anti-refection to reduce glare. If this were Nano, I think you have a good reason to pause with the protector. Unless one gets a matte or privacy protector, I don't see there being a viewing problem. The screen will definitely scratch if not protected. It is just a matter of time. I will probably go naked outside of that with the phone. I think you are right about the bumper but, I will give that a test on iPhone delivery day.

It mentions nano crystals in this video from Apple...

Yes, both are 6.9".
According to Apple's website, the 17PM is 6.43 inches tall, 3.07 inches wide and 0.34 inches deep/thick. The 16PM is 6.42 inches tall, 3.06 inches wide and 0.32 inches deep. So it's bigger in every dimension.

Remember the Spigen EZ-Fit uses the guiding frame that fits perfectly over the entire phone's shape, so it has to be a very close fit. As all the dimensions are different I'm doubting whether the 16PM Spigen EZ-Fit frame will fit the 17PM, especially as it's bigger.

Doesn’t the pro and pro max have the same new Ceramic Shield with AR as the Air?
Yes, all 4 models do, but the all new special Apple coating is only claimed on the Air on Apple's site. And it just so happens to be the ONLY model Apple is not selling their Belkin screen protectors for right now... That's why there are some questions now....

I went with Flolab, supposedly they have an even newer edge design that's meant to be improved. Who knows, we'll see. I hate the curved glass on these, makes it so much harder to use a screen protector.

What’s confusing is after several versions of the 16 pro max models, they released their 3D edge “hot bended glass” version. I currently have that on my 16 pro max and the fit is very good.

The 17 pro max version they have on their site just says infinity edge which makes me think it’s like the older versions that are going to be undersized and a dust magnet like the first 2 versions for last year

Is the screen on the Air curved? The reason I ask is how it could affect screen protector adherence.

From Apple's website: "The iPhone Air display has rounded corners that follow a beautiful curved design, and these corners are within a standard rectangle. When measured as a standard rectangular shape, the screen is 6.55 inches diagonally (actual viewable area is less)."

Honestly their copy is a mess. The site lists the privacy protector as 3D edge in the title but in the description it says infinity edge. I guess we’ll see!
