The Torras origarmor on their site looks like it doesn’t obstruct the speaker. But the same on Amazon looks like it does?

Honestly their copy is a mess. The site lists the privacy protector as 3D edge in the title but in the description it says infinity edge. I guess we’ll see!
That’s always my issue with their site. I emailed them to ask.

I ordered the Torras from Amazon since if it covers the speaker I can return it. This way I’ll have something for release day in case flolab doesn’t have a 3D edge version because the previous iterations before were awful. If they do I’ll but it as well.

I’ve always felt Torras was thicker and made the case lip less protective. But the oleophobic coating was better than the flolab. Even if the glare reduction is close, I’d still miss the lack of rainbows with polarized sunglasses. I can live with that if the AR is good.

What we thinking? Will scree protectors interfere with the anti reflective display??

Considering running without one this year
I don’t know for sure but I expect it will. Screen protectors to my eyes always add more reflections. I’m also considering going without a screen protector but it could be one of those decisions that only takes one scratch or fall and big regrets!

I’ve never dropped a phone bad enough to even come close to cracking a screen but there’s always that first time and it’ll almost definitely be without a protector on so am unsure what to do

The 15 pro max was the first phone unused a protector because I had scratches in days. Never had that happen before so I put on on the 16pm.

I heard from flolabs and Torras.

Flolabs does not have their 3D rounded edge for the 17 series yet. I had their other versions for the 16 and they left gaps all around and cut into the screen more than most.

Torras claims a rounded edge an AR. But they confirmed that it does cover the top speaker but claim it does not block sound. Has anyone used a protector that covers the top speaker? Was it a problem for sound?

Not sure who else makes a good edge to edge rounded fit with at least some AR.

BTW Belkin's website is the same as Apple's. No screen protectors for the Air, (not even a category, yet all the other 17's are there) which is starting to be worrisome.

I'm getting my ESRs today, gonna hold onto them until we know for sure if we can use them on the Air or not... Anyone buying screen protectors for the Air, my advice is don't open them yet, just incase we have to return...

Thanks for checking, I just emailed dollar requesting to cancel my order and specifically cited that I am waiting for the 3D edges.

I ordered the Benks one from the OP. I’m guessing I might have to go through a few until production models get into manufacturers hands.

I ordered the UltraGlass Unbreak Top 9H+ Armor for the 17 Pro on Amazon. Not sure how it's going to fit because there is a small black border around the screen and no cutout for the speaker.

These? They look like they have a small notch for the speaker. I might try one as well since the Torras does cover it. https://a.co/d/9IeDSRr

Can’t tell if the WSKEN does too

Yes, I added pics to my post because they are slightly different than pictured on Amazon.

Banks also appears to cover the speaker. What’s the deal with this design choice?

Cost savings? Not getting advance measurements from Apple?

Hard to see but the top middle isn’t slightly notched? Seems like this year a lot of screen protectors are doing with a covered speaker

Doesn’t look like a notch to me… Attached a bigger picture this time.
