Did you just return the screen protector or everything included ? When you asked for replacement?
They ask to send it back in the Torras box, but no need to keep the original Amazon box/bag. I just put my used screen protector back into the replacement box and dropped it off at a UPS store. They pack it up and ship it back to Amazon.

Has it been mentioned anywhere whether or not the OrigArmor is being released for the Air?
Any screen protector the the Air I would just wait on right now. YouTube videos have already shown that the Air is way more scratch resistant than ever. ESR confirmed to me on Reddit they will be making a new version of their screen protector for the Air. That it's not just them having issues. They DM'd me and took my email address so they can let me know as soon as the new versions are done...

Any tips to applying to Torras OrigArmor for a new iPhone fresh out of the box? Assuming this should be easier since I'm removing the protective layer seconds before I apply the protector (not needing to clean the screen)?

Here is my ocd recipe for a flawless install. You’ll need nitrile powder free gloves and wide painters tape and large microfiber cloth and flashlight.

1. Steam up the bathroom with a shower and place a clean towel down. Put on gloves. And let the stream dissipate a bit

2) clean the Scott with the supplied wet wipe all around and over the edges. Clean thoroughly with a large microfiber cloth and use a flashlight to ensure no residue or streaks. ( i use a rechargeable power duster to get excess dust off as well )

4. Cover the entire screen and over the edges with painters tape. Rub to ensure it is completely flat. This will ensure no dust!

5) have the alignment tray ready and hover over the phone. Peel the tape and place the applicator on. Follow their directions from there and use the included tool to press out any bubbles.

It sounds like a lot but I can do this incless that 15 minutes. Never had any dust doing this.

I have the ESR armorite privacy screen protector, bought with the case as a bundle.

Typing seems slow/laggy sometimes, noticed it with whatsapp messages.

Anyone else feel this?

Not sure if it's the screen protector or something else?

Here are a couple pics, they are hard to take. There is a notch for the earpiece at the top.

The TechWoven case does show the orange broder of the phone along the edges, has nothing to do with the screen protector though.

I’m really anxious to see if those of you who have installed the Origarmor will have any lifting issues with more tightly fit, rigid cases.

I have my eyes on the Origarmor for my 16 pro max. Right now I have a Smart Devil screen protector (which is full cover without blocking any pixels, like the Torras) perfectly installed, but the Paragon, which is the tightest fit case I have, lifts it off as soon as it is on.

Had no issues with Apple cases, Tineeowl or Sheath, but the Paragon is a no go.

I saw in the case thread that you’ve ordered the Paragon, so I’ll be waiting for your feedback.

I used to do something similar all the way back to the iPhone 5 but with the dust free install trays with the static/adhesive pull tabs you don't have to do this anymore.

Possibly. I didn't install the ESR because of the pixel blocking, but some thicker protectors can cause this.

Does the Smart Devil have black borders? What phone do you have it on?

Thanks for that report. I just installed the Origarmor on my 17 Pro Max and waiting on the Sheath. Your comment gives me some hope that the Sheath will fit snugly without lifting the screen protector. 🤞

Same. I went through the whole rigamarole of steaming up the shower to get a dust free environment. I think it was last year with the 16 Pro that I discovered the new dust free method that came out. It blew my mind how easy it was to get an essentially perfect install with so little effort. I wonder who came up with this idea.

Maybe something happened with mine because I’ve doing what @mfrank29 does, wear nitrile gloves, steam shower and let it settle. Except I have a bulk of dust stickers I use along with a can of compress air.

I don’t know what happened with my first install of the Origarmor on my 17 Pro Max, but after setting the phone on the tray and peeling off the paper cover, I shot the screen with air right away as well as use the dust sticker all over the screen.

I immediately put the protector over the screen, and I think I may have introduced some dust because I didn’t get the top and bottom holes to clip on the tray right away so I had to lift it back up and reposition.

This replacement, I clipped the tabs in one go and immediately pulled the dust-free tab. I don’t know if that caused static electricity to cling onto the dust, or if there weren’t any more dust before I clipped on the protector, but now I have a dust free and perfect install.

Is it user error? Does the dust-free tab work? Or is it the prep work beforehand? I don’t know, but my OCD is finally satisfied. 😂

Who knows why but the Torras install method is a bit different (inferior) to the ones I’m referring to. The Torras install process has an air gap between the phone and glass so it gives the chance of dust in the air getting between there, whereas the better dust free install methods that are out now have the phone and glass in direct contact with each other before pulling any film.

Because of this, I took the extra precaution to install my Torras in a steamed shower. :D

I concur completely regarding the gap between the screen and protector with the Torras. I don’t even know if that dust-free tab even works or if it’s the prep beforehand, but I wish they followed that better latter method you mentioned.

I installed the "WSKEN" Air screen protector from amazon. The black border isn't too bad (I'm not real picky about that though).
I have no lifting issues on the edges at this time and installation was straight forward. I did the install with the Air right out of the box while removing the factory screen guard Apple installed and there's no dust under the wsken.

The Sheath was also very tight and I was very very careful when putting it on so that the corners do not touch the protector.

Please also give your feedback for the Origarmor with the Sheath.

I didn’t actually install my Torras after seeing how reflective it was in comparison to the screen. I’ve done multiple ESR armorite in the past and had no bubbles or dust. I actually thought the pull tab methods were all the same… good to know. I hated reinstalling protectors, even with the alignment frames, mainly because of the prep/steam process but the ESR install makes it so quick it’s not really a hassle anymore.

Are you referring to the anti-reflective properties of the Torras glass? If so, to my eyes, the Torras has better AR than stock glass, at least with my own comparison with a bare Air vs 17 Pro with Torras. See earlier in this thread for a pic I took of them side by side.

Torras doesn’t make the origarmor for the Air. Only the GlassGo without AR.

if you think $60 for a screen protector is bad, dont even think about going into the cases thread lol we throw away a whole phones worth of cases throughout the year over there
Yea but cases tend to be more about aesthetic and personal choice so i can see that being the.....case. I tend to spend on cases myself. But a piece of glass? gtfo

I just put the phone into the Nomad rugged today and it fits perfect with no lifting. The Nomad rugged has a large lip around the screen and I was worried that it would peel the protector up.

I have a brand new sealed OrigArmor for the 16 Pro Max that I would sell cheap, if interested let me know?

Nothing says aesthetics like a sapphire screen protector with no scratches on it lol even my origarmor got some deep scratches on my old 16pm after 2 weeks.

Just installed this camera plateau glass protector and I’m extremely happy. Still trying to buff out the bubbles that are visible.

It fits perfectly and covers the camera lens and there’s a hole for the flash.

It makes the camera plateau completely flat with no protrusions.

Fits perfectly with the Apple TW case with little to no gap with the camera ring.

Will report back if the protector interferes with photos and lighting.
