Does anyone else notice that the Torras OrigArmor seems to give the screen just a little bit of blooming? It's not bad at all, I just noticed it slightly. I haven't used the phone without the protector so I don't know for sure it's the protector, but since it's OLED I think that's the most logical explanation.

When MR ran a promo earlier in August I ordered the AstroPad Fresh Coat anti-reflective for the 17 Pro Max. It’s sitting here pretty because I haven’t ordered the phone yet.

The bezels look pretty thin. Anyone using one of these?View attachment 2564182
Those will cover a few pixels for sure.

Would be nice over time to summarize this thread listing which screen protectors work and which don’t. Then we’d know which black border ones don’t cover pixels which do. Which no black border protectors have rainbow effect which don’t etc.

I’ve previously had a Zagg 360 on my 15PM but I am now looking for options on my 17PM.

I purchased the Zagg 360 but the new installation kit completely ruined the protector itself (read the comments on the link) and I returned the screen after failing to install it. Plus I decided to try the Spigen privacy protector screen to see how that works. I think this one is only the 180º but I’m willing to just try something else since the primary side to side viewing angle is limited.

I know Belkin tends to have a well regarded privacy screen as well.

Do you have a preferred privacy screen protector that you use?

Zagg xtr privacy:

Really poor screen coverage. It barely fits and the light bleeds from the sides.

Bad applicator method.

Probably should have tried the wsken 4 way privacy but the fake amazon reviews threw me off it.
I returned my Zagg for the same reason. The installation package was a complete disaster and the screen itself seemed just below quality even though its a 360 filter.

Will the Torras OrigArmor fit the iPhone 17? Only the Pro models are listed on their website, but I thought the 17 and 17 Pro had the same screens.

If not, are there any other protectors available for the iPhone 17 that have a 3D edge?

my Spigen AluminaCore (installed on the iphone 17 straight out of the box, launch day) now has scratches all over the place, including over the front camera. i can't figure out how this happened as i never put anything else in my pants pocket with the phone. and i've used spigen screen protectors on 3 or 4 generations of phones now, and never had a problem or a scratch until this one.

are these defective or? very surprised. plus the rainbow thing at the edge kind of bugs me.

Is there a protector (preferably film, but glass is fine) that covers the painted part of the 17 Pro plateau without covering the camera lenses, that's also compatible with Apple's silicone case?

Edit: I think I found one: https://www.slickwraps.com/collecti...hone-17-pro-max-camera-bar-plateau-clear-skin

Edit2: So according to reddit the company above is super scammy and the products, if they arrive, are no good. They were also banned from reddit. I may still order the skins and see if they actually get mailed but would prefer to order from a reputable company, so I'm still looking.

Got the Apple installed Belkin for my 17 Pro and it is perfect. Can’t even tell it is on or feel anything on the edges.

I installed the Torras OrigArmor just over 24 hours ago. Moderate to heavy usage. So far, so good. The 3D curved edges are the sh*t! I hope mine is not scratch gate like some others.

The Shellrus sapphire screen protector black borders covered the screen slightly when I tried it.

Last year version also had the same problem…
WTF no way? For a $86 screen protector, it partially covers some pixels?

Maybe I should contact their support about this, not sure if I should return this or keep it.

How bad is it? Any way you can get a shot of it?

It fits roughly the same as the previous version for the iPhone 16 series. I’ll attach a screenshot of the fit on last year model to give you an idea.

Honestly, when using the phone it never interfered with anything. But paying $70-80 for a screen protector and having it block a few pixels is insane.
