Really poor screen coverage. It barely fits and the light bleeds from the sides.

Bad applicator method.

Probably should have tried the wsken 4 way privacy but the fake amazon reviews threw me off it.

Are you guys testing for touch sensitivity? I tested two cheap ones on my Air and the lightest touch don't register.

Hello macrumors, I have a very important question. Could you please tell me I want to buy a Torras Origarmor with delivery to an address in the US? It's important for me to buy a Torras Origarmor in a black box with a cutout (without the speaker bump). Will the one from the official website come with a cutout (black box) or without?

I ordered the Torras from Amazon since if it covers the speaker I can return it. This way I’ll have something for release day in case flolab doesn’t have a 3D edge version because the previous iterations before were awful. If they do I’ll but it as well.

I’ve always felt Torras was thicker and made the case lip less protective. But the oleophobic coating was better than the flolab. Even if the glare reduction is close, I’d still miss the lack of rainbows with polarized sunglasses. I can live with that if the AR is good.
hi, Please tell me, I saw you were actively participating in the discussion. Maybe you know the origarmor from the official website? It's the same one as the one on Amazon with the speaker cutout. I don't want the protruding fin for the caudabe case.

I installed my Torras OrigArmor screen protector and I love it! There’s a noticeable difference from the ESR Corning. The Torras is closer to the edge and I do not feel like it’s cutting into the screen. Also I do not feel the gap between the screen protector and the phone.

When MR ran a promo earlier in August I ordered the AstroPad Fresh Coat anti-reflective for the 17 Pro Max. It’s sitting here pretty because I haven’t ordered the phone yet.

The bezels look pretty thin. Anyone using one of these? IMG_1280.jpeg

So, what’s the general consensus? Torras OrigArmor? I have this one:

I’ve used this one in the past. It’s not bad. It seems like I’d benefit from the 3D curved edges of the OrigArmor since I use my 17 pro with minimalist cases like the Arc Pulse and Suti phone back.

Wanted to share an observation with the Torras OrigArmor. This is NOT a complaint post since I’m happy with the product overall.

I’ve seen a few other mentions of the Torras glass getting scratched relatively easily and I’m experiencing the same. I don’t set my phone facedown and don’t have anything else in the same pants pocket I put my phone in. Yet, there are quite a few micro scratches after a couple weeks. My guess is they’re from generally cleaning off the screen from fingerprints.

I believe it was the Torras brand where I saw mention that some kept the same protector on for a whole year but I don’t think that’ll be the case for me.

In the past, I’ve used lesser expensive screen protectors that would get micro scratches and I’d replace them every few months. I’ll probably be doing the same with this Torras one, although it’s a lot more expensive product.

But overall, it’s a great screen protector. Good screen coverage, great anti-reflectivity, and the feel (smoothness) of the glass is excellent.

Great write-up. See my post just above. I’ve been running the “regular” Torras for just over three weeks. Not a scratch on it! I ordered the OrigArmor for the AR and 3D curved edges. Hopefully no disappointment with micro-scratches. We shall see.

Am I correct in saying that the Torres OrigArmor isn’t available for the iPhone 17?

If not, which one is considered to be the next best?

My origarmor doesn't have scratches but i'm not happy with the amount of smudges the screen gets. I didn't have this problem on previous protectors this early into usage.
Ugh. Amazon just delivered mine. Should I just stick with the regular Torras or give the OrigArmor a shot?
