I think it looks alright but I’m questioning its practicality since it just looks like a waste of space. At lest throw in a LiDAR sensor or something to add to the build and make up for the lack of other cameras despite its alleged high price.
It could be Apple will be using that elongated camera bar for the Pro models so at least there the space won’t be wasted. I guess it keeps costs down.

So Apple’s thinnest phone is going to have a big a— Google like camera bar on the back? Yuck.

Super_Fugly, if true. Probably true, they're behind the leading Asian brands and are out of ideas.

Goodbye iPhone wobble!!! Having all that extra space in the middle will allow for a much nicer front camera too, nice!
Yeah, I’ll take this over the increasingly growing camera square. Makes sense that this would give enough room for the front camera and Face ID sensors too.

Edit: then again, the latest iPad Pro’s front cameras get by just fine in as thin or thinner of a body.

Added unnecessary ugly buttons now made the camera even fuglier.

Make Apple design great again.

The image looks almost AI-generated and then manually edited in post to add the pixelated or blurred sections. The Apple logos on the two alleged back pieces don't even match each other.

If they can soften the bezels leading up to the camera module (unlike the protruding Pixel Design) I would say this is an improvement. Never been particularly fond of the current camera layout. Without more detail and context it does look more boring than some of the renders, which have a more industrial appeal to them.

Thin is nice

But I’d honestly take a thicker phone if the camera was flush so I could put it flat down on a table

That bump look huge! Ugly as hell, I hope that is the 17 pro. Why just not put the camera of the iPad Pro M4 which fits nicely on the ~5mm range? that would be more than enough for the purpose of the Air

I’m not sure if the Air will be a hit, especially if it doesn’t have any cool features that set it apart from the iPhone 17.

Tim needs to go ASAP. They need some fresh blood in this company and someone with the same spirit Jobs had when it comes to minimizing product lines. The iPad lineup is a confusing mess. The iPhone lineup is quickly becoming the same. Keep it simple you idiots. It should be

iPad
iPad Pro

iPhone
iPhone Pro

Apple Watch
Apple Watch Pro (Replaces retarded ‘Ultra’ moniker)

Macbook
MacBook Pro

Mac Mini
Mac Mini Pro (Replaces Mac Studio)

iMac
iMac Pro

I don’t understand why this is so hard. What are they even doing over there in that space ship? And don’t even get me started on the state of software lately.

The iPad front cameras are terrible compared to the iPhone. Center stage forces an ultra wide camera that’s terribly grainy

I hate how much that makes sense:

They'll promote it as "thinnest iPhone ever" because that's what the middle and lower parts of the chassis/body will actually be.

But then to get all the front-facing cameras and Face ID components and rear-facing cameras to fit this "thinnest ever iPhone", the measurements on the top part be just as thick or thicker than on any previous iPhone.

"Thinnest iPhone ever. Thickest iPhone camera bump ever. iPhone 17 Air."

Oh, I hate this idea. Hate it, hate it, hate it. 🥲
Wrong.
The iPad Pro has all those things and it's even thinner.
Before you say that it also has a camera bumb, remember that that's in the corner, and faceid is actually in the top-center part of the device.
