Guess it's not going to look like that then if it's Prosser sharing the design.
I guess you are right. Jony Ive had a deep design sense and aesthetic philosophy. After his absence, the Design Team and its leaders at Apple don't have anyone that have these qualities and so may be resorting to design trends that are making headlines in the industry at the moment, including this ridiculous bar/pill design that the Google Pixel introduced on their phones.I sure hope that's not what it looks like. But it wouldn't be surprising given the absence of Jony Ive.
Yes, exactly! Apple’s known for its simplicity and elegance in its minimalistic design aesthetic. The camera bar looks ugly to me. This new SE even if not as thin looks better
Replace “no one cares” with “I don’t care” and it’s fixed.I fail to see the point of "ultra thin." Phones are thin enough the way they are. No one cares if they "save" another 2 millimeters. In fact, if I could get more battery life I would like a phone 2 mm thicker than my 16 Pro Max.
But as I reflect, maybe this is really a prototype for the thinness needed for a foldable phone. But still, I think that is a manufacturing Beta and consumers are not going to care one bit about 2mm.
Buy the Pro line then.I don't want THIN. I want BATTERY!! 🔋
Yup, should have had a camera at each end of this elongated bump, with the flash and microphone in the middle. Two cameras spread so far apart would also let you shoot more realistic-looking spatial photos and videos than the current closely-packed triangular camera layout. The design seems to be good. A single camera only is disappointing. Would have liked to have two cameras like the S25 edge. Other than that the new iPhone seems like it will be a good one.
I mean, how many different ways can you design a phone.Pixel ripoff, shows Apple can't come up with its own unique design. Having said that I kinda like the black glass bar except we're in 2025 and there's no need for an extra bump just for the lens.
There's never been any wobble when you set just about any smartphone face down, since their camera bumps have always been on the back, not on their face.I like it. And with the camera bar across the back, no more wobble when setting it down face down on the table.
Siri, AI, especially....god damn....I mean, how many different ways can you design a phone.
I'm completely at ease with the current iPhone design. It doesn't need changing. What does need changing is the quality of software that's on it.
