The camera needs to be capable of taking v good quality selfies and photos from from 3-4m away. That’s what the kids use a camera for these days.
Being that thin and with the flat sides and sharp edges I can't see how it will be comfortable to hold.
Users tend not to put their iPad Pros in their pocket. We don't see bend gate on the new iPad pros...
Anyone else having trouble keeping track of all the different iPhones, past, present, and future? When I first read the headline I could have sworn this phone was already out. Maybe it’s because we are flooded with articles on all the different models day in and day out, or maybe there are just too many in the current product line, but I miss the days when Apple only had one or two products in each segment.
I still have a Nokia from 1996, the one which has a credit card sized sim, and interchangeable battery packs, the 'maxi pack' comprises of 6x AA NiCd batteries. This lasted several days, but only because you were doing exactly 2 things with the phone; calling and text on a simple LCD display, and on 2G.I would rather have extra battery than thin.
Good point, though I love the idea of a thin phone the battery must not just last long enough on day 1... The device as a whole should last many years and should be serviceable. Maybe they truly innovated on some fronts here, or maybe it's just a gimmick.Look... can I have a three year old phone that can have battery last a day? I don't know what problem a thin phone is solving... but I can certainly make some keen guesses on what frustrating usability issues it will introduce.
I think they will eventually. Everything usually goes in cycles. The past few years a lot of people have moved to big phones but many of us, myself included for example, got tired of carrying around big heavy phones and have down sized.Has Apple perhaps forgotten that as much as they think they need to keep redesigning the iPhone, the one thing that is never going to change is the average size of our hands.
Think they'll ever bring back the mini range?
I assure you that Apple has spent millions on market research. The opinion of a few Internet wags that think Apple makes their iPhones wrong really does not matter.
If people are going to add a case to bring the thickness up to the level of the camera bump, why not make the phone that thick in the first place, eliminate the camera bump, and fill the space with more battery capacity? smhWith a case that's almost as thick as the camera bump, it will fine. You don't want your status symbol to get scratched, do you? After all, you'll have to trade it in for the next status symbol next year.
That's why you should put your €800 device in a cheap plastic cover.

I really don't know about that. I've used a Pro with multiple cameras for years and I think I could get by with 1 good camera. It's going to come down to the display, and the battery.Looks good. No doubt it will be a great iPhone. However if it is going to have only a single camera it is going to be a disappointment.
You do know that the rumors (and the video that this entire thread is about) indicate there would be other phones available, right? You don't want a thin phone, you aren't forced into buying a thin phone. Choose a different model.does anyone actually care? The current iphone is already thin enough. In fact id rather they add a bit of thickness and increase the battery capacity.
Those gaps are MAGNETS for phones, glasses and keys. How do car manufacturers do it?I simply won’t be content until I can put a massive Otterbox case with an extended battery on it and still manage to lose it into the gap between my driver’s seat and the center console of my car.
I don't want more battery. I want something that's actually designed to be held in the hand. Apple seems incapable of doing that, so the least they can do is make as thin as possible so that when put in a case it doesn't add so much bulk.I don't want thinner. I want more battery.
