I don’t really care about 120hz or AOD or OLED in a phone, but I would like Promotion’s variable refresh rate for better power efficiency.
Speak for yourself lol… 120HZ is a must now I am used to it.
My eyes notice it when I use my iPad Air 5.

Looking forward to the iPhone 19. That should be the best iPhone, ever.
And Google have actually made use of it with ultra HDR.Refresh Rate is only one thing, the regular iPhone screen is still top notch. Funny though, the competition is starting to catch up with Dolby Vision, a standard Apple has been supporting for a few generations now, and yes, even in the base model.
Great to hear that all iPhones will have 120Hz display.
The argument @dumastudetto seems to be making basically amounts to "screw the plebs."Don't be silly, just because it has the word "Pro" doesn't mean it's for "professionals".
Promotion isn't a "Pro" feature, neither is an Always On Display.
Mid level Android phones have 120Hz displays that are also always on.
So let me understand this, you are against the idea of Apple making things cheaper so more people can gain access to features they previously couldn't? lol....
EDIT: Oh and a standard iPhone isn't "cheap or budget" the article didn't say it was for the new SE range.
Or a strange superiority complex of "I have enough money for a Pro, don't go giving away my Pro features to the peasants".The argument @dumastudetto seems to be making basically amounts to "screw the plebs."

I’m always suspicious when I encounter views like that and every so often we get a poster who will ridicule others here for not buying a Pro phone and refer to others as poor or budget. I tend to think those sorts of people are accentuating wealth and most likely have a nice phone, but not a lot else in regard to the luxury lifestyle they want to portray. People who are well off or comfortably off and can afford to buy nice things, don’t tend to rub it in others faces in my experience. That chap is often doing just this and although they think they are showing a superiority, it’s seen through very easily indeed.
Yeah. 1099. real affordable. you are aware that some people don’t make that much in a week right? How out of touch are you?iPhones are insanely affordable including the Pro models. The prices have fallen hugely in real terms due to inflation and Apple keeping prices as low as possible.

Very out of touch. Gotcha. Some people don't earn $1099 a week? Sure. People just have to save a little each week and they'll soon be able to buy their dream iPhone.
Not everybody is interested in the Pro iPhones though are they, regardless of whether there are 3 year contract deals and the like to make them more affordable. We are on a forum full of tech enthusiasts and if you’re not particularly bothered about tech, a Pro iPhone isn’t going to be as exciting to them as it is for people here.iPhones are insanely affordable including the Pro models. You don't think well off people rub it in the faces of the poor? I've seen rich people burning bank notes in front of beggars and laughing at their plight. I would never do that. I prefer to burn my cash at the casino.

I’m sure they do but I wouldn’t take any interest in that sort of thing. Genuinely wealthy people don’t tend to talk about their wealth or brag. The ones that claim to be wealthy and suggest they burn their money in the street or on gambling are usually living out a fantasy. People can say anything on the internet and if a mobile phone is being suggested as a status symbol, it’s unlikely there is much else behind the facade.
Except its not affordable. What part of the fact that 1000+ dollars is a lot of money are you incapable of understanding? It's difficult to put any group of people inside a box and say they tend not to do this or that. Maybe your learned experience is they don't do it around you? I've long lost count of the times I've been bored incessantly by wealthy people bragging about all the amazing things they have and do. The worst, in my experience, are wealthy travellers who can spend the whole night going through their collection of passport stamps with a long story behind each and every one.
iPhone Pro is definitely not a status symbol anymore. As I said previously, it's affordable to pretty much anyone who wants one.

Exactly. I have a friend who after all of his monthly expenses has maybe 100 bucks left over. A high end phone is just not something on his mind when he has mortgage payments to make. It's shocking and frankly insulting that @dumastudetto can be this out of touch with reality. I'm getting Mitt Romney 2012 live mic flashbacks.I’m a professional in my 40’s so I wouldn’t be around people like that. The wealthy people I work with, socialise with don’t discuss personal wealth and certainly not passport stamps. It’s likely a maturity and cultural thing as discussing personal wealth is considered a bit of a social faux pas where I’m from.
iPhones aren’t affordable to everybody either. They are still £1k+ and at least £60 a month and plenty of people are struggling to pay bills at the moment. An iPhone is the last thing on some people minds.
