TineeOwl DuneX in Green in Denial color
+
Moft Movas in green color

First, I just wanted to compare those two cases and eventually return one of them.
Now I think I like both of them so much that returning is no more an option 😊

And no, that TineeOwl color is actually not that blue, it’s more like turquoise and it changes in different environment.
I love the color and this grippy texture.

On the other hand the case made by Moft fells really smooth and premium, almost leather like.

That’s why I just couldn’t resist both 😉

The Moft is great! Loving mine in black paired with silver phone. Clean, premium looking, lightweight, not bulky and the vegan leather actually feels really nice in hand and stays looking pristine.

Caudabe Paragon. Definitely one of the tightest fit in the market and protective. I would also say it feels nice in the hand.
I don’t want to go through the online return hassle if it’s too slippery. Do any retail stores sell Caudabe?

Moft is too slippery to me. That TineeOwl feels amazing to me. I returned the Sandstone after seeing that it picks up ink and dirt easily and also cuz it seemed a little hefty. I might buy back the Black version though lol. I’ve got a 17 Pro so I’m overall hauling less weight

To me it looks like a cheap rubber case with good “drop” protection that you’d just find on amazon. Kinda heavy too
It may look that way, but that’s not what it is in reality. There’s a lot more to it in terms of small details in the design, materials, precise fit, grip, and hand comfort. His cases are very well thought out and tested. The only downside is a recent slip in QC, which seems in my experience to be widespread in the industry and probably has more to do with something going on with Chinese OEMs than any one particular brand.

I have both as well. Navy blue Moft and the Sage TineeOwl. Both are nice cases and I will be keeping both too.

Nah you’re right I know it’s premium just saying how it kinda looks cheap to me.

I think I’m going to pull the trigger on the Paragon to try out. Not really feeling anything else. I’m hoping the grippy sides can make up for the slick back. Does anybody know if the sides are at least as grippy as the TineeOwl or Sheath? Also do the raised corners of the Paragon not make it feel bulky?

I don’t know of any retail stores for Caudabe. Only way I know of is to order it directly.

That’s interesting I don’t find the Moft slippery. imo it’s just enough grip. The TineeOwl actually to me felt more slippery, yea it has that really fine sandy texture to it but I didn’t find it grippy.

Has anybody tried the Decoded Silicone? Looks almost like a TineeOwl kinda rounded but of course silicone. The fit looks amazing.

My only downside with the Phone Rebel is the smudgetastic aramid fiber back. I am done buying any black aramid fiber case. The colored ones like from Pitaka are fine but no more black.

No smudges with the Tank.

At 47 grams the Phone Rebel is at the upper limit of my weight tolerance for the Air. At 53 grams the Tank is just too heavy in my opinion. I’m also not a fan of the crazy design language.

Not sure if it’s my example or representative of the case but the Dbrand Tank is easily the worst case I have tried by a mile.

I wanted to like the design but have the following issues-
1) The camera and flash/lidar cutouts are completely warped, like clearly more oval than circular.
2) the buttons are atrocious. The power/sleep button activates by barely touching it. Meanwhile the camera control is worse than the early 16 pro camera control attempts.
I haven’t seen buttons this bad since the early 15/16 cases that added the action and camera control buttons.
3) just about impossible to get off, may be worse than the paragon.

They have created a revision to the camera control and buttons that may address those issues, but my case did not have the updated cc. Given the other problems and how good other, much cheaper cases have become, I am not sure I’d give this one another shot.

Does anybody know of any black camera plateau protectors with an open lens? Or even a skin?

I basically don’t want to cover my lenses. I just want to make that area black with an open cutout case. The Caudabe Midnight in particular, I feel with black would look so slick.

I finally got fed up of looking at my tarnished Lonli Edition dark blue case. It looks so gloomy when the phone looks so happy and bright orange outside of the case.

After spending my whole weekend staring at phone cases and reviews I ordered this?

Not sure I'll keep that one because the price is absurd lol. But I wanted a translucent/transparent case with a lanyard slot so I can get some cute oldschool japanese phone charms at some point! (I want the little bell one like Red Data Girl has lol)

My natural choice would've been the transparent ESR case because that DOES have the lanyard holes, but the horseshoe thingy is ugly! And I do like colored accents! I'm still pondering other options. I dig the torras air but there's no lanyard holes. Same for the dbrand cases, sadly.

Anyone got suggestions for neat looking transparent or semi transparent cases?
