After using the Tank for a few days I’ve decided I really don’t like it. It may have the worst hand feel of any case I’ve ever owned. All of the lines, ridges, and edges just make it uncomfortable to the point of not wanting to pick it up (maybe that’s a blessing in disguise… lol). All personal opinion of course, and no offense to those who like it for its positives such as great fit, buttons, and protection.

Another one bites the dust 😱

My Course Motorsports MagSafe mount in my work truck leaves the same sort of impression on my Paragon, but a quick wipe removes it. I realized it’s the rubber cover on the mount that’s accumulated dust and debris that then transfers to the case. The case itself is fine.

I’m laid up with a virus, so threw on the TW today. It’s nice for around the house, super comfy and light. Wouldn’t trust it for a real drop out in the big bad world though.

I guess I’m just going to be alternating between the Beats Rugged and Nomad Rugged for the next 18 months.
How do you find the Nomad Rugged? Was thinking of buying it but it looks huge, and the 17 Pro Max is already a big phone! Plus, it doesn't have a tight fit either.

You going to try and return the Tank or just file it away ?

It’s thick, but not overly heavy. The fit is fine—not the tightest but good enough. It’s comfortable and easy to hold onto because of the concave sides. The buttons are excellent. A nice case if you’re wanting a “rugged” case. Definitely better than Otterbox, UAG, and the mountains of phony rugged cases on Amazon.

Honestly, I’m pleased with quality of Apple Silicone case. So refreshing to see a case that out of the box doesn’t have any warped frame, no glue residue, no crooked buttons, no sharp edges, etc. Though, it may not last as long as others.
I agree. They may not be the “best” for every scenario, but IMO Apple-made cases (Apple and Beats) consistently have the most precise fit and most consistent quality control. I can’t really remember ever having to return an Apple case due to a defect.
