Apple is the master of marketing, convincing buyers that even with the most minimal improvements their products are a must buy. Equally masterful at cost control which yields maximum profit, this corporation continues to manage the narrative and thrive. No matter what one thinks, it’s quite the display of business prowess.
Or…..Apple, since its inception, has built a business model that brings their consumers a product that meets or exceeds expectations. What are the expectations? A product they can trust, will never give away their data, and creates a solid experience. If you’re looking for something different you’re looking in the wrong direction.

Man, something's seriously off with Apple. You've got these dirt-cheap $250 Androids, beautiful 120Hz screens and all, that charge at 120W and still have 97% battery after a year. Then there's iPhones, crawling when they charge and losing battery like crazy. 87% after a year? Come on!
16 pro max has fixed that pretty much. mine still on 100%

15 pro max battery cycles was bad though

Yeah I know that gesture works but on Android I can swipe the edge of the phone to go back from my browser to the mail I was reading and that's a hard gesture to forget.

The notification issue has been a constant complaint about Android for years so I'm confused how so many people claim to have never experienced it. I've seen complaints about it from every brand since Android 12. It's caused by aggressive background app management by Doze and it's especially bad on OnePlus phones where the phone may just decide to close apps in the background even though you've told it not to. Seeing how the Pixel phones are underpowered, North American Samsung phones can't be rooted, and the update policies of the other manufacturers are awful, OnePlus is pretty much the only viable option for me to use Android anymore but it gets exhausting fighting with the OS all the time.

I have no doubt that there are apps that are better quality on Android, just none of the ones I use are.

I much prefer the organization of Apple's App Library honestly.

I did touch on the swiping/navigating and said that Apple needs to improve that. The only thing that really annoys me though is that I have to use the nav bar to swipe back when I open a link from an email. I got so used to swiping the side of the screen on Android that I'm struggling to unlearn that. I can navigate everything else just fine.
even as a guy who's used loads of android phones delayed notifications is still a massive issue. even on my S25 ultra i wake my phone up after a few hours and all the notifications come through at once. it's annoying.

Well, without sounding like a ********, maybe you should cause it’s not going anywhere. I know that, we know that, you know that. Embrace it, it take the piss out of it if you have to, but don’t ignore it.
agreed but in fairness those who want to use al there's tons of good apps out there. I wouldn't say anybody using an iphone is missing out on al.

It's so ridiculous that my 16e sips power compared to the OnePlus 13 that drains 1.5-2%/hr in standby and yet I have notifications popping up instantly. I even went ahead and bought an M4 Max Mac Studio, have notifications synced to Mac OS as well as my old Samsung watch (with the Merge for iPhone app), and the 16e still has better battery than my OnePlus 13 did with just my watch and delayed notifications. It's crazy getting 3 days off the charger from 70% of the battery with ~3 hours of screen on each day, no other phone has pulled that off for me before.

Apple has won my business for the foreseeable future. The integration with their devices is next level and I'm *really* enjoying iPhone mirroring and how zippy this Mac is.

Glad to hear you are having a positive experience. Try not to listen to the haters on here or you will lose your way.
