I wonder if the titanium/aluminium frame will be described as "a new titanium-based alloy" to try to mask the fact that they are going back to the cheaper aluminium, which has traditionally been used on the non-Pro models...

I know this is the least important thing, but I'm planning to upgrade this year and I'm hoping it has a more interesting colour options. It's been a while since they've done a dark green, maybe. Or a new shade of blue. Something more than just shades of grey, silver, and, gold/bronze.

When a new feature is "more aluminum", that really says it all.

More Apple aluminum means more magical/special/superior aluminum to many... like magical Apple RAM and Apple SSD is different & superior to off-the-shelf RAM & SSD priced far lower for same capacities. If you don't have Apple aluminum, you don't have good aluminum. ;)

Getting more of this special Apple aluminum should easily justify another $100+ on the price. "Another record quarter" needs the added revenue. It all "just work$$$"

There are conflicting rumors about the camera lenses sticking with a triangular arrangement or being repositioned horizontally or vertically.

I just hope they'll look like these renders and not like a very confused Google Pixel. 😬

...and while the rest of these rumors seem pretty par for the course, the part about 12 GB of RAM sounds cool.

One of my favorite features of iPhone Pro was steel or titanium frames. I always use my iPhone without any case and firm frame saved me dozens of times and was looking good even after multiple drops. My older aluminum iPhone XR was broken and chipped after a single drop.

They will mot mention anything at all but summarise "with the same sturdy design, our customers are used to have all these years.

Agreed. Just because I want a telephoto lens shouldn't shut me out of the nice colors.

Aluminum — spelled aluminimum in the article — is stiffer than titanium, but less expensive. I wondered why they used titanium last time around. Maybe because titanium is less prone to cracking?

For the first time, I’m digging the look of the mock-ups. The two toned look of the back, harkening back to the iPhone 5, has me sold.

Definitely the return to aluminum after years of steel and titanium on such an expensive device is something difficult to swallow.

Well, the color actually is THE LEAST thing I’m thinking about when I buy a new phone. It is going to be covered by a cover anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️

escribed as "a new titanium-based alloy" to try to mask the fact that they are going back to the cheaper aluminium, which has traditionally been used on the non-Pro models...

Doesn't matter how they are gonna to advertise it, sad thing is, that even with the worst explanation/made up excuse every, many people will swallow and - even worse - defend/justify the decision.
