All they have to do is put a small bezel on it. The notch/pill is idiotic, Apple should never have released something that awful.

iPhone upgrades have become so minor year-to-year. The 13 I've got is still fine. Will keep it another 1-2 years unless they make a foldable iPhone. They're running out of ideas, so I don't see why they wouldn't at this point.

It’s either I upgrade my 12 pro max to a iPhone 17 pro max, or I wait until Apple hides the Face ID camera in the year 2032 as Young’s rumours are not living up lately. 🙄

I still hate the Dynamic Island no matter how big it is, Apple was nuts to get rid of notch. A reduced notch looks way better and much easier on the eyes when watching movies or scrolling content in my opinion.

Will be great to have 48MP telephoto lens. A smaller dynamic island is also welcome. Overall from the rumors, the 17 Pro Max seems to be having very good changes.

Hopefully there will be some nice colour too. Colours on Pro models are always muted. Will be good if that changes.

iPhone 17 Pro will ONCE AGAIN use the iPhone 12 design and iPhone 11 Pro Camera design.

Tim or shareholders are obviously not happy with Jeff Williams lazy hardware the last few years and sales/media negativity probably show it.

Whatever design this new “air” uses will then be used on the pros in 2026.

Think iPhone X which lead to iPhone XR and XS Max the following year.

They’ve rushed this out for 2025 because Jeff Williams hardware has been utterly awful lazy rehashed TRASH.

And No the camera design isn’t ICONIC, it looks like all the crappy Chinese brands.

Pixel 6, 7, 8 and 9 camera bar is iconic and stands out.

Every year is a “skip year” unless you’re coming from a iPhone that’s more than three years old.

You don’t get anything but extra expenses from upgrading every single year.

Apple Intelligence won’t be fully out until about Q3-Q4 2025. And that’s not even considering how well it’s going to work, or if it’s going to be a buggy mess.

Listening to these rumors only leads me to think all these 8GB RAM Apple devices we’re getting now won’t be able to run the Apple Intelligence that iPhones 17 Pro get.

Maybe the 8GBs RAM is only really an upgrade until the 2025 iPhone lineup drops?

But I guess that kind of upgrade dynamic is just a continuation of what Apple has done since the first iPhone launched.

True. But, despite maybe loving Face ID, most have hated the notch and really want something brings back the entire display without compromise.

But considering the first notched iPhone launched in 2017, I wouldn’t expect Apple to move to the rumored everything-under-display design any sooner than 2027.

I’m expecting Apple to focus mostly on AI upgrades in the meantime, no big changes to hardware design or notch.

The need to address stabilization of the 5x camera. It’s very shaky. 48mp detail will only show off hand shake even more.

Not sure what can be done about that. At any significant level of magnification with any device (telescope, binoculars) a stand is recommended.

I agree but my 12 mini has a defective camera now. Constant refocus and blurry pictures so the camera is useless now.
