I've said this before, but the Pro devices should always be offered in black. With Apple increasingly pushing (and industry adopting) the Pro iPhones for use as professional cameras, having a fully blacked-out device that won't get picked up in reflections is pretty critical.

Heck, I'd buy a VANTABLACK iPhone if I could.
I created equivalent to a vantablack iphone when i lost it down the sofa. Couldnt find or see it for a week.

I imagine the colors will be bolder than they appear in this washed-out image.

It doesn't make sense that Apple would go bold with the orange 17 Pro (the most popular color) and then return to muted shades of gray.

The black is going to be a nightmare with durability. Every little scratch and ding is going to be intensified.

Yet again, they whiff it when it comes to colors (if these are real). I want a dark saturated blue-green. I almost always have to opt for black

Disappointing to see these colors. Looks like light blue is the best among these. Don't know how far it will be similar to 13 Pro blue. Want the red to be bright bold red and not this shade. Wish the Pro models get a bright beautiful color like Orange 17 Pro every year. Love my 17 Pro Max in Orange.

On a side note, DO NOT use these camera protection plates - it is very tricky to put on without any dust or lint on, and in some angles and lights footage taken looks off or washed out. And they are a nightmare to take off - had to use a metal pryer to rip off the super strong adhesive, was a miracle there were no scratches.

It's a shame because something like this is required - all the cases I've seen always expose the entire camera island.
You’re a ****ing idiot. They aren’t “required” whatsoever. I’ve owned almost every iPhone since the 4S and every one of them that I used a case on, which exposes the camera like you said, NEVER had any issues from a drop. Like unless you SLAM your phone into a damn bed of rocks at full force you’ll be fine. A good case would protect it no matter what. Never had any issues my whole life even with insane drops. You’re just paranoid.
