iPhone 18 Pro Reportedly Won't Come in Black

They have a beautiful phone it’s called iPhone Air. it also have a black option.
I realize I am a sample size of one, and basically zero impact, but I haven't bought a 17. I've stayed with 16 because I prefer black or grey.. Ive upgraded every release until now.
I rarely see an iPhone in the wild without a case so does color really matter .

I'd like to see a nice light green color. My forest green 13 Pro was lovely, but like everyone else, I just covered it up with a case.

I would love to see a Deep Purple return. Would instantly buy it along with a clear case for it. Wouldn't mind seeing a fire engine red color again (though not holding my breath on that one either).
Can we at least get 4 color options for the pros like we used to? They are super popular. I don’t see why we can’t get more options.
You can't really hide the color of the iPhone 17 Pro as easily. I see more of my phone color than ever because my case has a giant rectangle opening - thus there's a lot of silver exposed.
While I think it is wonderful that Apple has "glassified" their OS, I would just like the option to turn it off because I find the ubiquitous transparency distracting. However, I respect others who believe it is 'neat' or 'cool'.
Much the same, I think it is wonderful that Apple has offered "fun new colors" for their iPhones. I would just like the option to buy their Pro-level iPhone in a dark, neutral color.
Black is an awful color for marks and makes the phone hotter in the sun. No sweat off this news.

99% of people don't need the pro model of anything from apple for their daily use case. Apple has always convinced the 1% to get the pro and then the FOMO will take care of the rest.
I always go for black but when it wasn't an option for last year's Pro Max I went for the next closest thing, the dark blue, and I now completely forget that I don't have a black phone because if glancing at it briefly it basically looks black to me anyway, especially in low light conditions.
If Apple forces me to get some loud garish "look at me" colour this year because those are the only options then that will bother me (and I include white or close-to-white in that category) but as long as Apple includes at least one very dark colour even if it has a slight tint of some sort which is how I would categorise the dark blue 17 Pro Max that I have now then I'm not too fussed about whether there is an actual black or not.
I do of course realise that this is an entirely subjective view and my expressing my own opinion is in no way intended to be a criticism of of anyone who feels very differently to me. All viewpoints are equally valid.

In all seriousness -- I would have to be pretty desperate to buy a phone for myself in any color other than some variation of black. Apple should ALWAYS offer a black option.

It’s much easier to post a denial rumor than an accurate rumor. I can be 99% certain there will not be an iPhone 18 mini later this year.
To be fair, they did innovate a new surface texture for the black MBPs.
I don't see this as a big deal. When there are 3 or 4 colors to choose from there is always at least one (if not two) that I would be happy with. Plus, as others have said, most people use a case anyways so I think if not having black bothers someone that much then pick the darkest color and then put a black case on it instead of a clear case.
I see no problem with giving a particular color a break for a few years before bringing it back like they have done with gold and product red. Opens the way for new colors.

So Apple doing it again! The only company where we spend the most and get fewer options. Pretty sure no other company on the planet thinks they know what i want better than I do!
