I have a horrible feeling that if Genius was going to be available for the iPhone it would have been mentioned. I hope I am wrong.

IMHO, when they say significantly better battery life, it means at least a 25% increase.

I've only had one major issue with my iPhone, and 2.1 promises to fix it: backups!! Finally, they're going to make them faster. At least I hope.

Literally 5 minutes before the keynote I took delivery of the 24" iMac, Apple TV & Time Capsule that I ordered last week, so I'm glad to see he didn't announce anything else I want (other than the 2.1 firmware for my iPhone)
Whew! :)
HD TV shows is sweet though. Glad I have a US iTunes account since the Canadian iTunes stores blows for TV shows....

Battery life? I am not an engineer so could someone give an explanation on how new software will "significantly" improve battery life

I'm stoked for this! Hopefully the iPhone can really become the best again...

sidenote, any word on if Nike+ is coming to the iPhone? I sure hope so!!!

Agree with several previous posters...let's get a stable phone. Yea, I'd love cut-n-paste and improvements around email/calendar that would help me ditch my Blackberry, but I'll take stability right now.

Sound Issue

I just hope the sound issue is taken care of. I'm tried of missing calls and txt messages because the alerts don't work and the sound bar goes to 0. Come on fix!!!!!

maybe it will be found early so that we can all update again and hopefully fix the damn thing before Friday comes...

Weak...

...quite simply W.E.A.K.

That's it? All that for "bug fixes"? You gotta be kidding!

And where the HELL is the horizontal keyboard for texting for ()*&^% sake?!?!?!?!

2.1 another let down

Hasnt been released yet but WTH

  1. Fewer dropped calls ? Thats AT&T and YOU "STEVE" how about NO dropped calls
  2. NO cut and paste still, WTH are you waiting for ?
  3. Better Battery life, OK that's a major perk
  4. No apps crashing, Hmmmmm ok we'll see about that, this is going to have to be tested and proven thoroughly.
GPS is coming when Tom Tom finishes there current program according to information on the web.
