Dont Drink the Damn Kool-Aid (Yet)

Some of you guys reactions are ridiculous lol Talk about drinking the kool aid before knowing the flavor!

As with anything these days with Apple I am taking a wait and see approach.......this could just be another worthless firmware update that makes things worse then before....................

Apple is usually intentionally vague about the alleged capabilities of these updates..........intentional..because im not sure they know if what they propose will work or not lol

I like Kool-Aid but I wanna know the flava.....It might not be ready for drinking......ya heard!:)

What if Push was removed "for further development" so that they could accomodate the two most popular (arguably of course) applications: AOL Radio and Pandora radio? What if they were to allow background streaming? It's a stretch, but I'd love it if they have it (and I don't even use radio).

All I want is faster backups and app installation fixes.

Oh yeah, 2.0.2 broke my GPS.

I almost cried when this was announced. Seriously.

This is the ONE time I didn't care about no new features. I just want a stable OS for my phone! No more restarts, apps crashing, getting my phone replaced, etc.

Friday can't come quick enough!!!!!

The last two updates were supposed to be "bug fixes". Sure 2.1 will fix more bugs, but do you really think it will fix everything and make it all perfect? HA

All I seriously want is some stability and no more lag on the interface, is that too much to ask for?

I'm not sure what some people wanted (actually, I am sure, since they keep saying it over and over and over again) just 2 months after a 2.0 release. Look what they didn't add over the course of 1 year. Why would they offer so much more in only a few months?

My sentiments exactly! Talk about consumerism and consumer brainwashing...........we think fixes are features RFLOL that apple kool aid sure is good...............

Careful the words you use when you write these posts. Nobody said "no app crashes". That would be crazy for any company to tell people. He said fewer app crashes. Apple doesn't have control over other coders and occasionally flawed software may make its way onto the App Store.

LOL @ all the people who are moaning about the keynote being disappointing. 80% of the iPhone discussions since 7/11/08 have been about bugs and problems. 2.1 is announced to fix bugs and problems, and you're disappointed?

What I don't understand is, what's so special about Friday? Why not today, or tomorrow, or Thursday? Are they really still coding it?

I Hope so!!!!
no copy or paste - no push notification - no GPS!!!
we better get something more substantial than just bug fixes!!!

Click on Maps , then tap on the crosshairs in the bottom left corner ... there's your GPS, give it a few seconds though.

If 2.1 it fixes bugs that is no bad thing as there are many but why call it 2.1?as there is nothing new.

MMS - It never really worked with my SonyEricsson and all the technology is going towards email so I think MMS is being quietly dropped.

Videophone - yea remember that never worked on my Sony either still early days if any days....

Cut & Paste - What I have heard that this function is great way to hack into the OS of a phone and hence Apple are very relunctant to do this.Which might be similar problem to tethering a phone.

Well can't wait to see what the updates does.:)

What happened to push services? Steve you promised it this September

Last I checked, today was September 9 and September has 30 days in it.

Remember how fast some of the firmware builds came out after the previous? Even though this is a large update, it's not unlikely for it to come out September 30 :p.

Though it wouldn't be crazy if he said "no app crashes on our part." Course with so many devices out there, it's impossible to guarantee that :p.
