MMS & Tethering requires an entire new OS? Surely not. Still, bring it on!![]()
All I know is if it tethers, it better be free. There's no way iphone users should be charged extra for something the phone already does on it's own. It's like having a vacuum cleaner for your house, but if you want to use it to vacuum your car and not your home then the Con Ed will charge you because your getting more use from it than they thought you would. In turn they try to find a way to capitalize off of your satisfaction. AT&T is ridiculous. I would love having a video conferencing feature that was speculated for so long as well along with the obvious cut and paste and document editing. The thing is Apple creates great stuff, but I am afraid we might end up paying to use every little feature on the device(s) coming out because of AT&T's greed.![]()
My wife just complained to me about that like yesterday. All I could do is shrug. I do hope it gets added.i'm surprised not many people mention the inability of the iphone to forward sms messages. i find this incredibly infuriating.
my cell phone from three upgrades ago could do all of these.
Will tethering be free on iPhone?
If you are able to use AirSharing doesn't that mean you have a WiFi network available? If so, can't you just email the thing off of your laptop, why are you moving it to the iPhone.
MMS to Apple is like Mcdonalds finally after years of complaining from their customers, putting cheese on their burgers
Yeh and so will the data plan for 3.0. Sorry AT&T are not in the business of giving service away.
Someone said in this thread it is $60. That is impressively high. My Verizion card is $65 a month. I only get 6GB but it is not terrible.
I'm sorry but that is absolutely ridiculous. Even the richest dude in the world could clearly see that agreeing to something like that would be throwing money away. If that's the case I will not be using that feature. As a matter of fact I am about through with AT&T. The funny thing is, I am not usually one to rant much. I must say though, Apple needs to start looking for other carriers. Yes I knew what I signed up for, but I am now seeing that they continue to increase package prices and hidden fees.![]()
You don't need to already be on a wi-fi network to transfer to/from AirSharing -- you can create one from your laptop, thus enabling the file transfer. But you're still not on the Internet, leaving my problem intact.
