Cracks as in what?
The silver bezel's got a few scratches, but nothing bad. Everything else is all fine, although sometimes it feels like the back is going to fall off.......

Yeah, problem is that I'm in Honduras literally impossible to ship anything from here to anywhere, especially Australia. Might as well throw it off a boat. If it annoys me too much I'll just buy a back on ebay for 80 bucks.

original iPhone i presume :p! sorry i presumed :p the iPhone was 8 GB as we only have 3gs in Australia. why go to all the fuss of getting an original when i can just go down to Optus? :)

...you should look back on a few pages (last in particular) in which i mention owning a white 3G and purchasing a 4gb 1G due to the fact the new one is crap hardware - and i miss my old one.:D:p

Yeah, i missed my old first gen - it was my baby, i lack the same care for my 3G. and i spun up 4.5 grand on roulette so i figured i would buy a 1Gen.... because i can:D

Make sure you download a us version of Tom Tom and turn off data browsing to be safe in case of in app downloads (traffic or something not sure if Tom Tom does any additional downloads but with the data browsing off you should have to worry about hidden costs. The gps will not use data on it's own

iPhone has been blocked on Optus Network. How to Unblock?

Hey everybody, got some trouble with my iphone, hopefully I can get some help. I found an iphone in a miraculous godsend one night, the same night earlier my previous phone had completely stopped working. I wiped it clean and have been using it ever since,, but a couple of days ago as I dialed 555 to check my balance (I'm on Optus prepaid) but instead I got a message saying "This handset has been blocked on the Optus network for more information please call..." I can't necessarily call it as I found it, the reason it has been blocked in the first place. It doesn't need to be unlocked as it was already being used on the Optus network, but unblocked instead. Is there anyway around this?

The reason I came to a forum was to get some real help from people who know what their talking about, so I'd rather not hear "Hand it in to the police, it is not yours." What's funny is almost a year ago to the day I found it, just down the road from the same place, I had my $1000+ chain and crucifix ripped off by a lout who was pissed that the Roosters got belted by the Dragons and never found it. The way I see it, karma just kicked in a year later. Thanks so much.

You have someone else's phone. Give it to Apple or the police. Don't come here for help to "hack" someone else's phone. I guess that Crucifix you were wearing was just for show given the unChristian way your acting and talking about Karma.

The fact that you had property lost/stolen does not make it okay to take property of another individual.

If you find a phone, the first thing you should do is look for contacts like "Home", "Mum", "Dad" or look through their most recently dialled numbers and find the most common number. Call that person and arrange to have them collect the phone from you. I'm guessing you conveniently neglected to do this...

You will need to jailbreak and unlock which should be cinch now that apple isn't releasing any new firmware for the 3G. Now you'll have to excuse me for not having all the correct info available, I have not done it on a 3G for a long time, but go to http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ for all the info you need and let me know if you still have trouble and i will guide you through it
