i did not get the above mentioned text message about an update. i may have already installed it. could they(apple/att) have known that it was installed and chosen not to text me, or is this more of another problem with email and the like? i really wanted to hear from 'uncle' steve.
I don't think your getting the message has anything to do with whether or not you've updated already, as I got it after I had. More likely, AT&T is sending out the message in waves so they don't have everyone trying to update at the exact same time. That would mean, of course, that they are (incorrectly) assuming no one would update without being told by them to do so.
