Iphone 3g + IOS 4 GM + Optimizing = FAST

I would be very careful with this program. There have been plenty of these around for a while. They put a page file on the phone NAND memory to make it look like the phones RAM has increased. The problem with this is the phone is then writing and erasing data quickly to the NAND, constantly. The NAND isn't designed for this and has a limited number of read/write cycles. I've heard problems of peoples phones slowing down several days later and corrupted NANDs. Be very careful with this

I really hope you got the 3G for >$100 cuz then I would feel terrible I i were you. The iPhone 4 is not that expensive, $200. I made that selling my 3G to someone.

Sure, if you want to be tied to AT&T for two years. If you want a "free agent" phone to use on any carrier (albeit on Edge), it's going to cost you, $600+ .

Yeah, but in the USA, there's only one choice for unlocked iPhones: T-mobile.

iPhone's on T-mobile only do EDGE (no 3G) speeds and visual voicemail is broken on T-mobile as well.

That's why American's generally don't care about unlocked iPhones as much as the rest of the planet (Europe and Asia)

First of all. Thanks for all the great help. This thread alone is the reason I now have a 3g with M/T and background wallpapers working quite well.

I jailbroke from jailbreakme.com and installed openSSH. Removed the launch deamons I thought I could live without and enabled M/T and background wallpaper.

As I came from a non jailbroken iOS 4.0 device, I am now a happy camper. The jb 4.0.1 with multitasking and background wallpaper is quite good. But as everybody else, I want more speed.

What about removing the voice search? In the guide in page one, there are some deamons that mention voice search, but in i0s 4 they are gone. But I see a folder in CoreServices that are called VoiceOverTouch.App. Can some tweaks be added to that folder maybe?

I believe it is releated to the voice communications during a call. i believe i read it somewhere a while back

Sorry, guy, but there are still a LOT of Iphone 3G and 3GS phones out there, and not everyone is a slave to changing phones just to change phone.

So, there is interest, and bring on the optimization!
