iPhone 3G Launch, App Store Launch, MobileMe and More...

Hi guys, I'm pretty excited about the new IPhone myself, but I have a question, maybe a stupid question, but whatever.

You see I'd like to buy the IPhone friday, but I do not want to activate its phone capabilities quite yet... like juste use it on wireless internet and as a address book and that stuff but eventually activate the phone... so I don't want to buy a IPod touch...

You think that might be feasible... Is the iphone features... besides the one that needs a phone network might be usable without activating a phone contract or whatever?....

All iPhones will be activated in store with a plan.

Me too. I'm not very interested in getting the new iPhone as I'm perfectly happy with my 16GB 1st gen bad-boy. My iPhone Day will revolve around getting the new firmware and picking out some cool apps to make my iPhone even more fun to use. Looks like it will come one day early for me :D
 
yup!! now, people will be able to post ad's in their apps,...that way their apps will be free to iphone users...but theyll get money from ads!!! sooo yaiii on us!!

I see something discouraging in the AT&T shelf stocking video. I was planning to head to the nearby AT&T store to get a 16gig black and a 8gig for myself and my wife. In the video there appear to be 3 labeled stock areas on the shelf. It also seems that most of the boxes were 16gig black models, maybe half as many 16gig white models, and ... no 8gig boxes? I fear that we will find them in stock at the AT&T store but be forced into getting two 16gig phones instead of what we planned to buy.
 
Interesting the white iphone is in a white box and the black in black box. Should make it easy to avoid confusion about what is what.


Since I just sold my 8GB gen 1 iPhone, I will be buying one on Friday. Black 16GB.


I don't know if I'll go right at opening... we'll see. May even wait till Saturday.

I mobile me really worth it. I mean I have the cash to purchase it but is it worth all they hype? I guess the hosting. Can someone give me some insight why they are getting it.

I admit I don't like the idea of someone else holding my new iPhone before I get to open it... especially if they take off the plastic guarding it from their sticky fingerprint attacks.

At least let me get the invisa-shield on it before you muck it up.
 
so New Zealand is getting iPhones in about 8 hours? I just want to make sure i read right!
 
Do you think the firmware update will coincide with the app store going live tomorrow?

i dont think "it is taking so long" , .Mac is a global services ,
there have more than million users ....

most of the online game , even there have just few thousand users
it's also taking half day more to upgrade....
