Try Galaxy S3 and you'll never come back to iPhone ;)

I'm sure S3 is a nice phone but it's too big for my tastes. I want a more compact device in my pocket when I'm mobile. I have an iPad for times I'd like to sit down and surf with a larger screen.

To each his own though! :)

I used the iPhone 5 for a few days before giving it up to someone moving up from the 4, and after going back to the 4S, I had to take the case off because I couldn't get over how heavy/dense it felt compared to the 5.

Plus in addition to being lighter and thinner, the 5 is much, much faster, has a larger screen, has LTE, has better battery life. Sounds like it's better in almost every way a phone can be better...

Granted, iOS needs some work and everyone is "begging" for an OS overhaul, but this is what happens when you have a user base that largely consists of middle-aged people who could care less about technology. They just want it to work.

The fact that my mom can go from iOS 4 to 5 to 6 to the iPad back to the iPhone without changing her usage habits too much between devices and OS while adding features is a testament to the work they have done in this regard.

Yeah I think that was what I was trying to put my finger on: it feels hollow.

How did we ever live with it?

I picked my old one up and was shocked how heavy it is to the new 5!

(Did 3 x 5 skullcrushers and 5 x 5 hammer curls with it)

I actually miss the heft of my 4. So much, that I still use it quite heavily (no pun intended) for tasks best suited for an iPod Touch.

I am glad I kept it, I was considering a new Touch, but I don't see the need in spending so much money when the 4 still works really well for those purposes.

Both are a nice piece of Kit in their own regard.

Lol, exaggerate much? I love my iPhone 5 just as much as some of you but the 4/4s is still a beautiful phone. I do miss the heft of the 4s but I'm used to the light weight now.

The 4/4s is still a good looking phone.

I just think its funny how shocking it is to pick up the old model when for so long it seemed awesome but all of a sudden it feels like a heavy outdated brick with sloppy design.

Technological evolution is funny like that.

Unfortunately, the light weight of the iPhone 5 simply screams "cheap junk". I couldn't believe it when I picked it up for the first time. The 4/4s was a classic design that exuded quality with its superb weight and balance. The iPhone 5 feels like a $29 DVD player from WalMart - light as air and worth even less.

Picked up my friend's SIII and it was suprislingly lighter despite being larger than my iPhone 4.

Also tried the iPhone 5...it almost feels TOO light.

pretty amazed...dont think they can get much lighter than this.

Tell us how you really feel ;)

I agree though about the weight of the 4S having a much more premium air to it.

So let me get this straight.

Are you suggesting that it would be ideal for you if they added artificial weight to the device just so it doesn't feel so light?

Not at all. Its just that often (not always), high quality merchandise is heavier than cheap versions. Remember Jurassic Park?
"Are they heavy?"
"Yeah."
"Then they're expensive, put 'em back."

I just always liked the weight of my iPhone 4. In fact it was one of the immediately noticeable differences when picking up Android phones - they all just felt so light and cheaply made in comparison. Now the iPhone feels like that. I'm not saying it IS low quality. Just that it feels that way. (Although I have read some reports of the iPhone 5 bending, which sounds plausible given its thinner aluminum case vs. the previous glass).

Of couse I don't want "artificial" weight added. But if high quality, strong parts are heavy, then I don't know why you'd want to replace them with less durable parts just to save weight.

Link to the reports of bending? Haven't heard that yet...

Funny how just a few grams only matters now, and was conveniently ignored while the 4 & 4S were current models.

AppleLand is where one visits, when they want to experience the true meaning of the word "Hypocritical", it's a way of life in Apples walled garden :D

Or you could just accept that after a long term with the 4/4S design, people now appreciate the advancements with the design of the 5.

For example I have always LOVED the 4/4S design, however after a week with the 5 it now seems heavy and dumpy by comparison.

EDIT: Ive also noticed that most of your posts come across as passive aggressive. You seem to be bothered by people who enjoy Apple products. Just an observation.

The fact that I'm offering some observations seems to trigger your need to play shrink. Jumping to conclusion after only reading some of my posts gives you a skewed perspective. You're assumptions are... well... assumptions.
