How about holding it in your hand instead of the finger thing? From the video it looked like you had your finger sort of on the edge of the phone instead of completely covering the seam.

Anyway, either they fix it on the next iPhone or this antenna issue is going to bring Apple down.

I guess I didn't answer your question in my other post.

You are accusing me of 'holding the phone the wrong way'? :)

No, my finger is completely over the seam, and that is clearly seen in the video, multiple times.

I definitely noticed the connection issues while talking since I switched to iPhone 4. However, since I got a case and headphones the problem is gone. Simply because i don't hold the phone next to ear while I talk, but use the headphones.

Heh - - almost a bit of damning with faint praise there! I suppose it's better than if you'd said you use an Android phone to forward calls to your iPhone in your pocket. ;)

Yes the iPhone 4 Antenna issue is such a fail the iPhone 4 is the top selling Smart Phone this year because of it.

These brainless articles are full of crap.

It's a yank issue, here in the UK there isn't any signal issues that I have come across, or others that I know who own the 4.

Ping, yes that is a waste of space.

Agreed, try as I might I cant replicate 1 single bar drop when I put my finger over the seam. Hell even holding it in my left hand doesn't drop anything. Tried to get the wife, and my work colleagues to replicate the issue - nada.

Never had a drop call, only issue is I get no 3G in my sisters house, yet I do outside, but that issue existed with the iPhone 3G also.
