My reservation confirmation says nothing about first come first served...

You guys are making me nervous! After reading this post last night, I called the local store here in TX after work today and spoke to a manager, giving her this exact scenario, and she said they would hold it until close on the 24th. After that, see ya' later iPhone! We went back and forth with me "are you meaning to tell me, that if you are out of iPhones at noon, except for the one I've reserved, and there are 500 people in line that want a Phone, you will hold it for me until I can come in at 7pm after work?!" And she said "yes." She looked at the email part about first come first serve, and said that it's true AFTER your reservation lapses. She said having a reservation is better than showing up without one (i.e. spending the night).

In addition, she said to not even bother coming in at 7am (I would have one hour to get the phone before work), and to avoid the chaos. She took my name and gave me her word . . .

Makes me feel uneasy, but it's the only choice I have, considering my summer location is not my billing address. Else, I would have had it shipped.

There is no need to panic, duders.

On the 24th there will be two lines, one for walk-ups and one for reservations. Reservations are limited to the number of phones each store has allocated.
 
well something interesting happened to me

I got through ATT on preorder day and it went through, got it for the upgrade price of $199

Never got a confirmation email and the order number didnt turn up anything

So i placed an order with Apple. Got through some how right after on the 15th.
Order went through for the $199 price.


So i some how got 2 iPhones coming $199 each, for the upgrade price...dont know how it happened. i called att to get it resolved but they said they are not allowed to cancel.
 
Well its 3:27am. I am going to give this one last try. I just cant get past the part where its checking ATT. I cant believe something so easy is so ****ing difficult.

At first try I was so close to get it ordered, then I got greedy and decided to change the data plan and I have not been able to even get to the data plans.

If it doesnt go through and it doesnt seem its going anywhere, I will try it tomorrow morning... If there are preorders left. If not my wife is going to have to keep that 3G till the 2nd coming of Steve Jobs...
 
Should I order an addtional line? And try to get them to fix this later? I can't upgradE!!!

iphone 4 pre-order issues

I think I found the way around. I just got thru and received my confirmation email.

go to att.com and log into your account. DO NOT click on upgrade eligibility. Instead go to MYATT. I went thru the other way multiple times... this one worked on the first try--
