I just downgraded my new iPhone 4s that came with iOS 7 - after getting the free iWork apps, that is. :D

I'm so happy I could downgrade! iOS 6 immediately made me smile. And there ARE differences in speed, too. Loading speed, not animation speed. Plus, I noticed there are a few hundred MB of additional free space.

I wholeheartedly reccomend this downgrade to anyone. But you better hurry, or it may be too late...

Could you please share how to downgrade? Thanks!

Great to see the positivity in this thread. I tested ios 7 at GM but went back to 6 on my 4. I'd be interested to hear how performance for you folks is on

A) waking from sleep
B) entering text in Safari

Those were the two deal breakers for me. In both cases as unacceptably long pause - v different from instant response in ios 6.

A: Instant here.

B: I've noticed some lag in this specific process but so far not intolerable.

...Meanwhile, I succumbed to temptation and ordered a 5S... I fully expect the fingerprint authentication to save me several hours a day! (Or at least, that's what I'm telling myself!)

It is laggy!!
I have those awful flashbacks from 2006 when I owned HTC Windows mobile.
I am really disappointed with this. It should be more fair if Apple said "from 4s and up". My wife have iPhone 5 through her job and it runs smooth as silk.

So nothing about iOS7 (i do not like those happy colours and its flattens thoug ) but why release it to HW that can't run smoothly...

Something else I like about iOS 7, it kind of makes my iPhone 4's screen "seem" larger. Probably the better use of the screen real estate and fewer confining boxes around things. I was really thinking of buying a 5s this year, but iOS 7 is going to hold me over until iPhone 6.

It's not smooth like an iPhone 5 of course, but I don't find it any laggier than iOS 6 was. Definitely not having upgrade remorse over here.

I have just installed IOS 7 on my iphone 4S but there are 2 problems as follow:
1. I can not activate Face Time - it takes very long . If I activate by using Apple ID so after some minutes it wrotte: Face Time Activation could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again.
2. If I use Viber/ Line/ tango etc.. : there is a sentance : Connect to Itunes to Use Push Nitifications.

Anybody knows how to solve 2 these problems.

Thank you

I installed io7 on my iPhone 4 and it's flawless. I am using Line and FaceTime too.

I did a restore to factory settings to make everything new and fresh then a restore to the last backup.

Since you can't reinstall FaceTime I'd suggest a restore to factory settings then restore to last backup.

iOS 7 works fantastically on my iPhone 4. I too am now waiting for the iPhone 6 because of how wonderfully useable this is.
