The first figure needs to come down quite a bit:
China Unicom = 150 million subscribers.
Taiwan Carriers = 23 million subscribers.
Since the iphone 3G have launched on China, China retailers offered jailbreak service to promote .I am curious about that the promotion way of iphone 4 in China, China is a bigger market ,the High imitation mobile market is very hot. i worried which will affect the sales of iphone !! good luck! Apple! lol ~ but if Chinese puchase a iphone or ipad , i suggest them get a Aneesoft iphone/ipad converter like me~~
International sales accounted for 52% of Apple's revenue last quarter. Hardly anything Apple manufactures is done so in the US. I guess Macrumors should just stop reporting on all international Apple news

Americans don't rule the world, nor are the whole world, get over it. Just because you don't live there, doesn't mean it doesn't matter.
It means China market has significant upside for iPhone. The game has just begun.
I think the imitation market is probably very good at imitating HW, but I think people are realizing that Apple's value really is in HW and SW and imitations can't imitate iOS.
It's kind of like Windows Visual Styles trying to emulate Mac OS. When you move to Mac OS you realize it's not about how the OS looks but about how it functions..

China has 800 million mobile phone subscribers. That is almost 3 times the entire US population.
China makes ALL I repeat ALL of Apple's products: iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac, Mac Book, Mac Book Pro, etc.

That guy wasn't even in line the entire week, I met him at a LGBT charity event 2 days before the phone was due out, he said he had security watching it for him
I assume these are GSM phones? I read that China Unicom runs both GSM and CDMA. Has anyone heard? If they are CDMA, that could be the reason for the manufacturing rumors that "support" a Verizon iphone, right?

a couple days back, there was a lot of talk about a cdma iphone, that was thought to be for china, does this mean that, in a couple months the iphone will be released in china for cdma networks? or is it that the cdma iphone is going to be used for a different purpose.
I care, as a share holder and someone who likes to see more quality goods entering the world, especially in China.
