Picked up my reserve, out the door by 7:30am. Screen is fine and my signal is the same as it was before. No problems. Store only had black Apple bumpers, no other cases.

Best Buy had nice assortment of cases last night.

I preordered the new iPhone on June 15 and got it delivered 2 1/2 hours ago. No waiting in line for me today. The retina display is gorgeous! I can't make out any yellow spots.

Lines weren't too bad in Nashua, NH but mall security had a bust on their hands. They said that on the iPad launch, people were orderly when they opened the doors and filed into the mall and to the Apple store just fine. Didn't believe them and sure enough, when the door (single door for the masses) opened, it was a mad dash to the store. I made it and was about 9th in line in the reserved line so I was safe and out by 7:20 with my 32 GB.
For your information, I was standing with an Apple employee and they were instructed that for every 10 reserves that go in, 1 "standby" customer will be let in and that's their policy for this launch.
I bought a bumper just in case I had an antenna issue since they said I can take it back within 14 days. We'll test it out when I get home.
Good luck to those waiting without reservations.

King of Prussia - smooooth

very impressed by jovial crowd, huge line of hopefuls with no reservations...
and by apple staff with their cheery faces, free breakfast and info

the reservation line moved quickly, got to mall at 630, was outside in the pennsylvania teutonic heat at 730, activated i4 in hand!

expected to have long wait, brought twilight of the gods/the anti-christ to keep me sane.. ended up with a caf and a smile

good job apple! at&t too i suppose!

Hehe so glad I spent 9 hrs preordering to get mine yesterday.

I agree, although I only spent 4 hours trying to order mine. I got mine yesterday and adverted those long as lines.

I feel sorry for the people that have to wait in line all night for the phone. I guess pre-ordering and having it shipped to your house is the best way to go!

Regent Street

I went to Regent Street at 1pm and was told to expect a 3-4 hour wait in the reserved queue.

I'll try again after work, but if it's as long I'll wait or consider buying online. As much as I want one of these, I'm not standing in a bloody line for 4 hours for a phone.

Christ, it's just a phone. My old iPhone 3G still works - sure it's slow and old now, with marks, dents and scratches on the front and back, but it will keep working for another few weeks if I need it to. ;)

Ugh! Still waiting!

Still waiting. Line hasn't moved in 1.5 hours. I thought reserving would avoid this!

**** no.... Why would you think that? Perhaps next time you should pre-order and then have it shipped to your house!!! I'd rather wait 1.5 hours at my house instead of in front of Apple store!

I had reserved my phone. Got in line around 3:30 am. 100 or so deep and the reserved line moved quickly. Those who waited all night and some of the day before had to wait. Muahahahahahahahahaha.

Suckaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssss

How many people were in line at KOP?

Swype

I agree with number 4, Swype keyboard is amazing.

I don't get it. I watched Swype's demo, but I can't see how it would save much time unless you prefer hunt-and-peck typing with one finger. On my iPhone, I can fly through sentences typing with two thumbs. But I guess to each his own.

I was in and out of my local AT&T store in exactly 12 minutes with my new iPhone 4. There was some campers there when I showed up, but the manager had to let them know that they would not be receiving an iPhone b/c they did not pre-order it. They were there for about 3 hours waiting for nothing :(

Will the "Why would you wait in line?" people just shut the **** up and realize that some of us had no choice? I would love to have my phone shipped to me, but since my billing address is a PO box (and I have no actual mail delivery option at my house) I had to get in line with a reservation, and be happy I managed that what with all the pre-order snafus. I blame Apple and AT&T for not allowing me to ship to a different address then my billing.

So just realize that some of us really had NO CHOICE but to stand in line.

Got!!!

Well I have mine. The o2 store near Bond Street tube had a queue of about 40 people by the time I arrived at 7am. By the time I left at 9.20 there were 150 people in the queue waiting. Walked past there at about 12.30 and they were still lining up around the corner.

The Apple Store on Regent Street was jam packed at 1pm. The staff were bringing people free food and drinks. Great atmosphere there.

As for the phone, well, it's a thing of beauty. No issues with mine I'm happy to say. Looks and feels amazing. Very pleased.

Jeez that sucks for the campers...

Still waiting for the doorbell myself.
