Best phone I've ever owned, bar none, including my previous iPhone. As a phone, it's average, but, I have dropped far fewer calls with it, especially in my house, than anything I've owned. As a PDA\internet device? It is 2nd to NONE. Incredible machine, that I wouldn't part with for anything.

Personally, I cannot believe the negative press this thing has gotten. It's obviously still selling like mad, and will continue to do so I'm sure, it's just a shame it has this blemish on it, which it truly does not deserve.

Pick one up, you'll be addicted too. :D

Don't give it a second thought. The iP4 is an awesome phone. You won't regret it.

Why are there so many threads like this?!

People that get the impression that the phone is 'unusable' are retards.

The phone is fine. Great in fact. Get one.

I've had mine for 2 weeks now and I'm very happy with it. I was never concerned with the specific issues about the phone as they've been blown way out of proportion, but I was a little concerned about AT&T. I had been with Sprint for 9 years which had awesome coverage and service. So far, I've had no dropped calls and the call quality is great. The battery life was also a concern as a couple people I know with 3GS phones have to charge theirs halfway through the day, but they have to be using it ALL day. I keep my push notifications off so I've been charging it every 3-4 nights.

I'm of the school of thought, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I never upgrade just for the sake of upgrade. But then again, this is my first iPhone so I can't say if I would have upgraded from a 3G if I had one. Just don't let these over-exaggerated issues stopping you. The "multiple catastrophic problems that render it virtually unusable" simply are not that bad.

First time iPhone owner here and I love this phone! I researched several options and I felt this wS the best all around phone and have no regrets. My wife is jealous and just lobbied her cio to put her on one as she's on a corporate plan.

My initial excitement about the iPhone 4 has turned into a sense of caution. Reading these forums, it's easy to get the impression the iPhone 4 is plagued with multiple catastrophic problems that render it virtually unusable.

The iPhone 4 goes on sale here in Canada on July 30th. As a 3G owner, I'd love to hear from iPhone 4 owners whether you're happy with your phone and you think the 'upgrade' is worthwhile, or would you recommend skipping this generation and waiting for the 4G?

Thank you kindly.

This is my first iPhone and yes I am very very HAPPY with my phone. I live in an area with great coverage and have not experienced any issues...

Not the biggest fan of the iOS4 though...seems to be a bit buggy, but I'm sure Apple with iron out all the bugs with 4.1....

Of course I'm happy with my phone. Most other people here are too. Don't let them fool you... ;)

Upgraded from a 3G and I am very happy with my iP4.

Never had a dropped call or any problem with my new phone.
