Honestly, if Wrapsol didn't have QC issues, they would be the closest to a static cling style protector like SGP and Power Support.

Wow, much nicer than the Zagg/BSE films. If I hadn't gone the SGP route, I'd probably have looked into this. Do they discolor like the the aforementioned Zagg/etc. ones?

just got my phantom skinz done today! matte black on the back and clear for the front! so far i'm really liking it. it doesnt seem extremely thick so the feel and accuracy for the phone feel almost like nothings there. the matte back just looks amazing IMO, very clean! i am going to be comboing this with a bumper and expect to love this setup! highly recommend it!

So it has been over 24 hrs since i got my Phantom Skinz installed and this grainy appearance has not gone away. The guys that put them on for me (phantom skinz kiosk at the mall) said it would go away in 24 hrs. Do i need to wait longer or is this due to when it was being applied?

Either way I do like this look very much and love the matte back! I like that the bumper for me gives me the feeling of a case but is not as bulky as one. This is the perfect combo for protection IMO.

It usually takes a couple days to really get rid of all bubbles, but those small bubbles tell me they didn't use enough solution. They still may go away, but those take longer.

How did you get the combo of matte black and clear front?

I too have been using PhantomSkinz for a while now (have one on iPhone 4 as well). Yeah, they all say 24 hours, but it'll truly take 2-4 days to REALLY dry & set in.

I always find that to make good & sure those bubbles go away, during the drying process you'll wanna take your thumbnail & go all over the entire front & back a couple times each day until its totally dry. Dont be afraid to get in there & use some pressure (but not too much to where your nail "drags"). This will "seat" those tiny bubbles down.

Also its a good idea to lick/wet your thumbnail every so often during this process to make sure it glides over the surface easier & doesnt hurt the skin in any way. Be sure to also seek out any of the bigger bubbles & push them out to the sides forcefully using your nail.

Seriously, I've done this technique on about 5 phones with these shields & they've all ended up perfect doing this. I've never used a squeegee either. Its been my fingers/nails thats done it all.

Honestly, between all the issues I've had with Wrapsol's fronts, I bought a 2 pair of these for $6.

OUTSTANDING. Can't speak highly enough. It's what I expected from the Wrapsol front when I bought it.

Install was straight forward; there were no packaging issues.

Give them a shot. $6/$7 for 2 and you can't go wrong.

Where did you pick them up for $6/$7?

I had a back phantom skin on for about a week and the cut was very good. I swapped it out for a SGP leather skin but recently installed the side pieces (they originally left the pieces out on my order). The cut is okay but I'm not sure I will keep it on. There's too many individual pieces that whenever I hold the phone I feel the edges all over. Much better on the previous iphones/ipod since the back and sides was 1 piece.

I have a matte back I may try, though I love the one I put on at the start of this thread.

Can someone take a pic of the matte back with no case on?

Thanks

Just wondering, how does the screen side shield feel? Is it kinda tacky like the Zagg's? After having used the Zagg for awhile on pretty much all my stuff (but my iPhone 3G is the most handled) I've grown accustomed to the tacky feel and coupled with my iSkin solo have developed habits in handling the phone that revolve around the tackiness of it all lol.

edit: hm also...how is it with oil/fingerprints?

Theit site won't let me checkout, it keeps giving me a Server Error. Anyone else have this problem?

Bump

People really should try out a matte back, it is seriously pretty awesome.

Not as tacky as a Zagg but not completely smooth like a hard dry application protector. Somewhere in between. Slight tackiness with a gummy feeling if you run your nail over it.

i just placed an order for a full body clear one. ive got the zagg on now but am not satisfied, its already peeled back a couple of times. i know it comes with a warrenty but thought id check these out because they come with the side protection

Does anyone know if the Matte Full Body kit includes the "clear" front screen cover or is it a matte texture also?
