I put myself on the waitlist at the new Apple store in Uptown in Minneapolis on 6/26 - I haven't heard a thing. The store will not give out any indication of anything.

Has anybody had any experience on the list there?

Timmy2, I am also on the list at the Uptown Minneapolis Apple Store. Got on the afternoon of 6/29 for a 16GB phone. Other than the email confirming I am on the list I have heard nothing. Which are you listed for, 16GB or 32GB? Any one else in Minneapolis?

I'm on the Uptown Minneapolis list too: 16GB, June 27th. Still no word. (Not even the "moving up the list" email.)

I'm beginning to wish I'd ordered a 32 from one of the suburb locations -- talking to a friend of mine who works at the Rosedale store, he said the Uptown one is getting slammed with requests due to its location, newness, size, etc. Ah well. I'll post if I hear anything.

Been on priority list since June 29 here in Memphis, TN. Anyone else have any experience with the Saddle Creek Germantown store here? I called to ask where I was on list and all they would tell me is that I am on the list still.

I got on the apple priority list on Monday. Haven't heard a peep from them since. My friend who works there says she can't view where I am at the list, just that I'm on it, but mentioned that over the past few days the list has ballooned past a 1000 people.

Anyways, woke up this morning to cut my lawn but the lawnmower battery was dead (yeah it's electric). While it was charging, figured I'd get breakfast and on the way past walmart (which I despise) I thought I'd pop in for the hell of it. Just my luck I guess as they had just gotten 6 of the 16gb's in. So picked one up.

Loving it so far. This thing is like going from a 486 to a p133 (my old phone was a 3g). So I encourage others to just check local stores when you get a chance. Never know if they may get a shipment in.

Still waiting in VA

I've been on the MacArthur and Short Pump list since June 30th and on the Bethesda Row, Clarendon and Pentagon list since July 1st.

Is there anyone else on these lists that has heard anything besides the first email? I didn't even get the "you're moving up the list" email.

I'm thinking if I don't hear anything by Monday, I might as well just order online and wait it out. At least the online store gives a rough estimate of when I'll have my iPhone.

Ahhh got mine today!!!! I reserved at the apple store on June 30th..

signed up for 2 16's

I signed up for 2 16s. We got confirm emails but no more than that.

I would have ordered from ATT, but we are going away, and I did not want to miss delivery and have to start over. Since today is Saturday, and we leave tommorrow, Murphy's law says the email will come on Monday!!

I did speak with a store employee on the phone a few days ago. She said they have been getting shipments everyday - for whatever that is worth.

It is a nice store isn't it. That one block in Uptown seems to be growing into a "flagship" store droping zone. So much for tatoos and scary homeless teens !!! :D It will be interesting to see what Calhoun Commons looks like when it is done.

I believe I did see somewhere that people received emails over the weekend. They could possibly get a shipment on Saturday but also keep in mind at the end of the day they most likely have a handful that werent picked up, so those go down the list.

Thank you! You were right, I got the eMail about a couple hours ago this afternoon and just picked mine up! NO waiting and fuss.

Best cell phone purchased I have ever made (so far) from my 3G!! :apple:

Pioneer Place

On the list June 30th arrived July 10th. Longer than I would like but not bad.

Received my pickup email today at 12:31.

After two weeks, I got my email to pick it up today, but vie had my iPhone 4 since Tuesday because I managed to get the only 32GB model that they got in since launch. It's a really great upgrade, everybody else getting their pickup emails today should enjoy it.

Buying iPhone in VA

I reserved a 16GB and 32GB iPhone at the Fair Oaks Apple store in Fairfax this past Tuesday and already got an e-mail that I'm "moving up the list". I'm assuming this is my 32GB iPhone moving up. I asked where I was on the list and the 16GB is "pretty far down the list" and the 32GB "pretty close". Sorry but don't know why you skipped this store when its between Short Pump and the Clarendon stores. Every time I go in there, which is 3 times this week, they have people activating new phones. Seems like they are getting a good flow of iPhones.

Still on a priority list at the Apple Store (8 days) and I'm on a waiting list at RadioShack.

Just missed a chance to buy one at Best Buy on Thursday, and this morning I walked into Walmart to check and they were selling the last one right in front of me.

This is getting maddening. I know it's just a phone, but being so close twice and missing it is frustrating to say the least.

I tried to put myself on the lists closer to Richmond first but a lot of the stores said I had to come into the store in order to do that. I didn't want to drive up there just to sign up. But thanks for the info!

Got the email and phone today from the new Cerritos CA store.

16GB, got on priority list 6/25.

I asked the apple person about the shipments, now that I had already gotten the phone. She said they have only received one shipment since launch, an that it was about 300 phones. She said I got mine because others in front of me on the priority list didnt pick theirs up.

Boston MA

Chestnut Hill store told me they receive shipments daily, except the list is extraordinarily long. Might be people thinking its a less popular store so they might have more luck there. Anyone order at Chestnut, Boylston or Cambridgeside in the last week, and receive their phone already?

Day 10 in Houston, TX. Got the move up email a couple of days ago. I think this is going to be a LONG wait for people in our little town.

Moving up email

How much longer are people waiting after receiving the "Your moving up" email from Apple. Is this just a mass email, or does it really mean your close.

Dont think the email meant anything. Someone got the email saying they were moving up and then the pick me up email soon after. Most of everyone else waited longer or is till waiting.

I believe the rush is over. Friday & today, several people I know have walked into our local Apple store and purchased phones over the counter. No waiting, no reservation. I'm in a huge Apple market, not a small town. They even have 32GB models in stock.*
