iPhone 4 Priority list

Hahaha!

So I got a 16GB one from apple on Launch, had some buddies in security sneak me to the head of the line, #2 at 7AM, when I got it my pr0n wouldn't fit after converting to HD so I needed to get a 32GB, plus it had a dead pixel on it. So I just used that for a week, decided to put my name on the "Priority List" at the apple store, got mine in 2 days, I put it on Friday and walked out with a 32GB Iphone with no dead pixels on Monday. HAHAHAHA Hope one of you ends up with my phone with the dead pixel when u go for a refurb!!! PS I dropped it in some nasty urine on the floor at the movie theater!!!

This was in NJ btw. Urine didn't cause water damage.

I'm serious. I was quite shocked given that everyone was reporting about a 3 week wait. I even made an order through ATT and had to go through all sorts of hell to cancel it today and get my upgrade eligibility back in order to pick up the iphone tomorrow. I'm still on the priority list for a 16 gb iphone as well. If and when the other Apple stores email me back telling me that I can come in a pick up an iphone, I'll post in this thread if anyone wants to take my reservation in SoCal.
 
day 20 is upon me now this is getting really boring , i knew it would be a wait but not that long of a wait and i see so many people who put there names on list after me getting theirs idk whats wrong with apple but something is:mad:

Wow... your parents give you any attention at all as a kid? Literally, no one gives a **** about the stories you can ponder up to troll around. Get lost.

Well keep in mind the 32gb versions had alot less demand so people ended up waiting less for them.

I don't think Apple's sending out 16GB and 32GBs at the same time. Last week, it seemed like everyone on the Boston and Cambridgeside lists were only getting 32gbs. This week, it seems like the 16GB people are getting more luck.

I finally got my 16gb yesterday and it was well worth the wait. I was on the priority list since June 30. The apple genius who helped me with my purchase told me that was the average time for 16gb folks to get their phone. The 2 week time frame was an optimistic one. Three weeks is more realistic.
 
Got my 32 gb in about 5 or 6 business days. Same with my wife's 32 gb. We're in Orange County, CA.
 
I put my name in the hat at the apple store @Crabtree in Raleigh for a 32GB a week ago, thinking I'd have at least 2 weeks to wait and decide after the press conference. Got the email yesterday that it's in, just 7 days! Must be the 32's.

But now I'm thinking of getting a 16 or holding off a little while longer. I have until the end of the day to decide. Anyone know if one can ask for a 16GB instead, if available?

Btw, sorry to those that have been waiting so long. I may be one of you if I decide to let this one go.
 
I'm flying out on a business trip in a couple of hours. I guessing my "it's here" letter will arrive about the same time I step on the plane... Been on the list about 2 1/2 weeks.

I understand they are two separate waiting lists. So you have the 32 or nothing.
 
Day 18 for me at the Glendale, CA store. When I signed up, the woman taking my information said the wait was a week to two weeks. So much for that. :rolleyes:
 
Went on the list for two 16gbs at the Manhattan Beach store on 7/1. Haven't heard anything yet.

I was told a week as well. Which I am thinking is horse poo after reading this thread.
 
I think the longer I wait, the more I will realize that it isn't worth the extra $200 to get it 7 months before I could buy it at the cheapest price. $399 now or $199 in Febrauary.

7 months / $200 = almost $30 a month.

Is it worth paying basically $30 extra a month to have the faster, fancier phone with the killer performance and battery life???

If I wasn't a tech geek and didn't use it for business, I'd say hell no. But it might be in this case.

Ugh.
 
and...

Day 19. anyone know how to down grade from OS4 for a 3G, BTW? I'm just curious cause I have a feeling I need to figure that out since its gonna be a while before my new Iphone gets here.
