I waited about 20 minutes before someone could get the phones and ring them up. It took about another 15 minutes to set up the service (new account), and both numbers were ported in less than 30 minutes.

Ok, thats about what i have to do. Switching from verizon for the iPhone. I finally manned up! :p

See my thread titled "Apple store is ridiculous " if you just put your name on a list and have been told no walk-in's. May be a similar situation.

I put my name on the list yesterday at two Apple stores in Denver (Park Meadows and Cherry Creek). Hadn't heard anything other than the initial email, so I decided to put my name on the list at the Aspen Grove store. They told me they weren't putting anymore people on the priority list. So I walked up to one of the Macs, found the bookmark, and put myself on the list. If your store tells you there isn't a list anymore, just do it yourself.

That's what I call being proactive.

Put my name on the list yesterday for 2 16gb's at the Brandon FL store after I heard the white was delayed again. Got the emails at about 11:30am today ,went to the store and was in and out in about 15 minutes. They said they got a big shipment in today and on Monday they might even start allowing walk-ins.

I put my name on the priority list at all of the Phoenix area Apple stores yesterday at 10 AM. I got an email at 9 AM today to come pick up at the Chandler Apple store. Yay!

Just called the SCP store, and they told me that they are no longer adding people to the priority list and starting monday they will be sold on a first come first serve basis. I was hoping to get in on the list today :\ oh well, I guess I need to take my chances in person now. Kinda disappointing.

kind of late to respond now, but I did call them ahead of time. The guy on the phone said yes we have a few but you better hurry. Guess i was VERY lucky! I'm sure you'll get yours sooner then later!

I know of people who just got e-mails from 2-weeks ago putting their name on the stores list. Really depends on what area you are in. I haven't had any luck finding one single iPhone in stock from ATT/RadioShack/or Apple (greater Los Angeles area). Finally ordered a black on via ATT.com after white was delayed yet again. Word is October on the white ones, not waiting any longer. Better to try "walk-in" middle of the week.

put my name on the list yesterday and got an email today. however my account is past due so i have to wait :(

Man after reading about all the waiting lists I feel kind of bad about snagging one from best buy with no wait. I am however still waiting for my wifes 16gig im on best buys list for that one though so I am hoping it will be this week.

if your still on the priority list and havent received the pick up email yet. are they going to wipe your name from the list when they start the walkins?

or are they still going to honor all the people still on the priority list?

Nice! I stopped at the San Tan Village store Saturday, put my name on the list for a 32GB and they told me it should be within the week.

I even tried calling the Chandler Mall store, they told me the same thing. Stopped at an AT&T store, no better luck. I must have just missed out in the Phoenix area. I even tried the Apple stores at the Biltmore and Scottsdale.

I put my name on 2 Apple stores here in So-Cal and got my reservation email at one of them within 20 minutes of walking away. Still none for the other place, both 32gb.

BUT when I went in to pick it up the line was so long, they were closing in an hour they cut the line off. So I had to talk to a manager, tell him the situation and he told me they would hold my phone another day. Hopefully they take care of everything, im going as soon as they open. Im not sure though because the manager wont be there and he didn't actually 'grab a phone for me'

That sucks. I called around to different Best Buys and a very nice girl at the City of Industry store looked in the district inventory and told me which stores had some. At the time it was Anaheim and West Covina. If you can't get your phone this might be the next best option.

The Anaheim store was snotty but West Covina was great when I called to confirm.
