I'm trying to figure out why my package would start in Dallas, TX, then go to Memphis, TN, (6/22 11PM) but still arrive in Tucson, AZ by 3 PM today...

iPhone 4 stuck in FORT WORTH, TX

Looks like ours were on the same plane... I got the same scan at the same time... but nothing since. Delivery still scheduled for before 3pm today -- for now.

Yah, it doesn't seem right to begin with. Why go from TX to TN when I'm in AZ? I'm gonna guess either a shipment mishap, or a FedEx system tracking mishap. Anyway, if it doesn't get here today, no big deal! I'm patient.
Called up Fed again, told me a different story this time. Due to large shipment from Apple, a few orders (mine) are delay 24 hours and still stuck at FW TX no further update.
HOw did you get lucky enough to get yours to fort worth? Mine made it to memphis late last night and at 2:00 this afternoon departed memphis, no clue where it is or where its going now, but since its been hours since an update I assume its being trucked?
I'm down in Austin, fort worth would have been much closer
Hmm.. mine made it out of memphis at the same time and it's showing at local distribution center here in Austin as of 1 AM this morning.
Did FedEx ring the doorbell/knock on the door, or just leave it on the front step for you?
I'm hoping that's the case.... still in Ft Worth since 6:00 AM yesterday. Fedex agent knew it was for the iphone but same story of mechanical failures and delivery date of possibly tomorrow
Yeah they said that.. I was hoping that they all were mistaken and it just wasn't scanned and would magically appear on my door step lol..

The flight to oakland left at 4:09. If that's what yours says--then it was likely on the OAK flight. It left about 20 minutes late. Landed 5:49 AM. I would guess we'll get an update by 7 or 8 am. Hopefully it says "on the truck for delivery"
Tracking just updated, im waiting for it in San Jose.

Well, my 3 pm deadline passed, so I gave Fedex a call again. The agent pulled up a 'backup screen' and said that he could see that the package was still in TX and would be here tomorrow - he wasn't sure why it didn't leave today, and blamed AT&T for the delay (even though Fedex supposedly picked it up at 6 AM yesterday). Oh well, all I can hope for now is that it shows up tomorrow

My tracking updated again to being at Rancho Cordova at 7:20 a.m. It's 1:28p and so far no deliveries. =( I'm getting desperate.
I gave up, my status still in FW TX 6AM on 22nd. Just gonna casually walk into the store with a big grin on my face tomorrow for the iPhone. Then painfully drive for a few hours to the only Apple store nearby to hopefully buy a bumper.

This is total BS. Ive called 4 times today and got 2 different answers.
1. Storms caused delays and the container my iPhone was on never left and wont be here till tomorrow.
2. It will still be here today.
Well, its well past 3pm and I got nothing. So I guess tomorrow it is. Sucks though since I had to take a day to be home for it. Wouldve been nice to get an update of some kind instead of what some CSR THINKS is going on.
By the way, I live about an hour outside of Chicago.

I called FedEx and they said that some planes didn't leave Fort Worth because of mechanical issues. They said my package should arrive tomorrow at the promised time I was given for today.
Also, even though tracking online is down, you can still track your package by calling them directly.
So, I guess if your iPhone was on one of the broken planes, you'll get your iPhone on launch date. (hopefully)
