HOT POCKET!

funny

i'm hungry

My wife had this happen sitting on the deck listening to streaming audio.

Previous few weeks never happened with her 3GS.

The company I work for does not allow employees to carry cell phones so I leave mine in my car for 8.5 hours. I got this message two days in a row. I held it up to the ac vent on my way home from work and after about 5 minutes, it started working normally.

Happened to me too, and all I was doing was answering a text. From what I've read on Apple support, its normal. But I've had every iPhone and never had this issue before. Plus I'm inside at home, not in a desert or something. What's going on?

I had the same problem today, the phone was charging all night, came into my home-office, its about 70 degrees right now, made a few phone calls, sent a few emails from it and then set it down for about 10 minutes. Picked it up and had the Temperature warning. The phone felt to be at body temperature, not even slight warm.

iPhone4 high on temprature

What's the medication??

iPhone 4 Temperature warning...

I just recieved a Temperature warning on my new iphone 4. The display said "iPhone needs to cool down before you can use it". The odd thing is that the phone was cool to the touch as it had been sitting on my kitchen table next to my macbook all morning.

Mine just did the same thing. It has just been sitting on my desk all day. It was cold to the touch. I'm on the phone with support now.

UPDATE:

Support couldn't do anything, so they made me an appointment at the Apple store for tomorrow. My phone won't even turn on now. It says it has a low battery even though it had a full charge before it shut off.

iPhone 4 Temperature Warning Screen

I just got this message displaying on my new iPhone 4 screen. The phone remained "locked" (only allowing for emergency calling) for almost 5 minutes. The phone was NOT hot (cool to the touch) and had been unused sitting on my desk for the previous 20-30 minutes in a 72 degree office.

Anyone else seen this?

What...the...F....

NEVER seen that screen before... didn't even know it existed, nor did I think the iPhone could get hot enough to force shut down...

Here comes the iIce jokes...iIcePack...iFan

maybe it needs a rub to warm it up a bit, poor iphone sitting ther all alone and getting cold...

I've seen it on mine, however I believe rightfully so. I was outside at a lake in over 95 degree heat capturing video of family and some poon and the little bad boy displayed the message to me. It was fine and has been fine since the cool down.

A friend of mine got this error the other day when he was out at the pool.. Left his phone out to play music.. so the sun got it hot. We think it has something to do with the stainless steel. It gets REALLY HOT.

He said he left his 3G outside all the time and never had issues with it.

Personally. .I don't plan on leaving mine in direct sunlight.

Mine did this yesterday at around 2:00pm and as of 9:00am the next morning, the temperature warning screen is still on it even though it has only been sitting on my desks at work and at home in air-conditioned rooms. I have an appointment at the Apple store tonight to have it looked at. The phone support thinks it might just be a bad temperature sensor.

mine did this same thing, wonder if a replacement will be from a white box because the phone is not even a week old so i want a brand new one.

I've done FaceTime every night since launch day. I haven't seen this error screen yet but my iPhone does get pretty warm...warm enough for me to get a little worried.

yea mine gets warm even on a short call, i wonder if the glass and metal has some play in this ? I love the phone so im going to get it replaced do to that temp warning. I better get a new box though since its less than a week old
