I visited Cambridge Apple store today and was told a big shipment is expected by the weekend and that the UK stores will be clearing their reservation lists like the US did last week, so hopefully a lot us will get our phones in the next couple of days.

You can't buy sim free from the US Apple Stores like here in the UK, they only sell contract phones through AT&T so you are wasting your time there.
Just an update for you guys.
I reserved at the regent street store on the 6th and got an email to pick up on the 30th for both 32gb and 16gb. 🙂

wait so they actually give you a time to go and collect it?
i work and therefore will not be able to go and get it until i finish, will they be ok with that?
i was told on the phone when i was put on the priority list that you can get it the 'next day' but he didnt say it was at a specific time

Reserved a black 32GB at the Regent St, London store on the 9th, received my "Your iPhone is waiting" email yesterday (the 29th).
Put my name on the waiting list at eldon sq, Newcastle last fri (23rd) got my email yesterday. Picked it up last night, amazing. Oh it was a 32gb.
Gah that's the same date and place I put my name down... but for the 16GB. 🙁 Still waiting, but it's reassuring to know they're getting through the lists. Hope you're enjoying your new phone!

I'm going to post the opposite to many of the posts asking for spare reservations:
If you have a reservation for a 16GB at Milton Keynes and don't want it, please don't send it to anybody who doesn't have a very good reason to need it soon. On Monday I will have been waiting 4 weeks and while that's okay, I don't want to miss out on my place in the queue because someone else doesn't want to wait. I suspect I'm not the only one. 😎

I just have a quick question regarding cases. Do the Retail Stores offer you a case when you pick up the phones, or do you have to use the stupid app? I don't want to buy from the store and then have to wait another few weeks for a case...
