how can u make the Apple Representative tell u what number u on? when i call and ask them search me on the list, all they say is they cannot check and refuse to tell me what number i am...... y is dat?

i reserve a iphone 4 from four different apple store and now i only receive one confirmation email 
, how can i knw that confirmation email is sent from which apple store ????? so that i can chase the other three apple store to make sure i am on the list......

Haven't heard anything for a couple of days about people getting their emails and when and where they went on the list. Remember to come back and tell us the details when you get your phone/email so we know what's happening!

Just went to order online but there's a 3 week wait I thought they would have been widely available after missing the 'rush' of the launch!
Is this just the online site, or are most Apple Retail Stores also out of stock? I don't mind having to drive 20 miles or so to pick one up.

The estimated delivery time online is more like 4 weeks not 3 weeks. If you are looking for a contract you should be able to get a phone through the relevant provider relatively easily. However if you want a sim free unlocked version only Apple are currently selling those and you will have to go on a reservation list at an Apple store, you can't just walk in buy one at any Apple store. Wait time varies depending on the store but the London Regent St store is at least 4 weeks at the moment. Let's hope there is a surge soon like there has been in the US to clear the backlog.

just got off the phone to regent street, they said in am 100 from the top of the list. put my name down on the 5th for a 32GB.
I've now hit a quarter century on the White City priority list and am starting to get worried that my order has been lost.

Hi, I have really long story with getting the iPhone4, the main issue is that I am registered with Regent Street Priority list fro 32GB SIM FREE - since 11th of July - and I am leaving UK for a holiday on the 8th of August and I am very aware of that they will not manage it before the 8th...

I phoned yesterday Regent Street Retail Store where I reserved an Iphone a week ago to find out my ranking on the list but they refused to give me such information saying that you are not allowed to know how many people are ahead of you.
Then I asked about the rumor that Apple is planning to clear out priority lists and they told me that they are indeed expecting a large amount of devices and I need to check my email regularly in the following days.

Seeing everything that is going on here, I guess I can give up hope of strolling into Regent Street next week to score an Iphone4.
