grrr just rang my local Apple store to ask how quickly they are getting through the reservations, and the guy on the phone said 'minimum 3 weeks at the moment'. he was clearly busy though as he sounded a bit depressed to be answering the phone!

Does transferring reservations work?

So I have put my name in for the priority list but as it appears I've been put on a list for the priority list in the Regent Street London store... I'm here for only another 10 days ...

if you are on the list you must have received a email from apple. Dont worry people getting there phones faster now
my friend added his name on 26th july and got the phone on 31th
Was in the Liverpool store yesterday, after having rung earlier in the day and been told they had 32Gb phones available for walk-ins. Unfortunately they'd sold out by the time I got there and they're no longer doing the reservation list despite the fact that the phones are still in very short supply and they don't know when they'll be getting any more. Great...
I don't know exactly what people are doing when they are passing on reservations, but a word of caution: the Apple store in Eldon Square asks for ID (e.g. driving licence) when going for a reservation.
Walk in to an Apple store and ask to be put on. You'll need to be there to enter your Apple ID and password.
If you've used the iTunes store or MobileMe, you'll have an Apple ID. If you're in doubt, staff in the Apple stores will help you set one up.
