I'm in the San Francisco area and my speeds are great. This is on an iPhone 4, and it's faster than some of my friend's home DSL!

Well I'm just getting crap speeds all around now. 160 kbps down and 60 up. Last week I was getting about 100 kbps down and 2 Mbps up (???) All in the same places I used to get 3,000 Mbps down with my 3GS.... 3G has become useless for me since I got my iP4. What's going on Apple/AT&T???

It's not the phone in this case, it's the service. My iPhone 3G hasn't been pulling decent speeds all weekend.

Two weeks ago, a thread poster in Mpls had significanly higher upload speeds and asked if others did. I did as well.

Today, download is 1.23 Mbps and upload is 0.06 Mbps.

That was me. Now I'm just getting slow uploads to go along with my slow downloads...

3G was working fine for me yesterday in northeast and in bloomington. Has been 'broken' for over a week now downtown. What gives?

Loving these 3,000 ms ping times.

No problems in Miami!
I'll be in NYC tomorrow though, I'll have to see if I come across any problems.

No problem here in South Florida. Sucks tho for anyone who has the problem.

I'm in Tulsa with only 2 bars right now.

1408 kbps down 53 kbps up.

I've noticed over the weekend my bars have dropped from a steady 4 and 5 down to 1 to 2. Maybe they are doing some work on the towers?

I think AT&T is doing this as a service to everyone who doesn't want to see stupid videos of your kid watching fireworks, or stupid videos of you being drunk in front of fireworks, or just stupid videos of your local fireworks. Maybe they've realized facebook is truly the worst thing to come from the me-first generation, and they've attempted to temporarily delay all these videos for a couple of days, at which point no one will want to see them because they happened like 5 days ago and people only care about what each other are doing right this very minute.

/90% sarcasm

I wish more companies would do this LOL!!

and as for speeds just so my other post afew pages ago doesnt seem too "apple fan-boyish" here are my speeds in Snook, Texas Pop. 300 top line is 3g bottom is wifi at my house

DL 2428 and UL 1062 on 3G

Everyone is right. I am outside of Phx and I was getting 1435-1658 UP now the max that i can get is 65. My download has stayed about the same around ~1000. On 7/1 i got 1546 Down and 1657 UP.

Fortunately, all seems fine in Atlanta area. I'm getting 1.14 Mbps down and .63 Mbps up.

and in chicago- actually i am getting significantly better upload speeds on iphone4 than on my 3gs and marginally (33%) better on downloads

2.04 download
1.02 upload

on friday sitting at the same desk using my 3gs
1.58 download
.55 upload

Not much love here in Pittsburgh, PA

Ignore the first test... I forgot to turn the WIFI off!

Not very impressive given the numbers I see from everyone else on here. I'm glad I just renewed my contract over a iPhone 4... geesh

Well I personally will do my part to rectify the situation, as soon as VERIZION
gets the i Phone! With 2 iPhones and a $184.96 monthly bill for CRAP service,
THIS boyo is jumpin ship:cool:

This is funny. I can run the test 3 or 4 times and get numbers all over the board. Same as with my 3GS and 3G. This is what cell service is. I know everbody wants better, but I also have a Verizon phone, and thier down and up load speeds do not compare to ATT. I'm not a fan of any cell service provider, but dont expect that Verizon will be better. Maybe they are only better becuase they dont have a gazillion iPhones boggin down the network with people trying to bust the system.

Mine is perfect

Mine is working well in Petaluma, CA

What speeds are you getting on VZN?

309.4 kb/s download on 3G
149.0 kb/s upload on 3G

No problems here!

I ran a test on my wifi and i get 117.4 kb/s upload via Brighthouse Networks. My AT&T 3G is faster... pretty ridiculous...

I agree 100% with this. As I always say, there's no "good guy" in the game, unfortunately. And a lot of sour AT&T users are gonna be in for a surprise when they make the switch to Verizon. They are not very popular in the realm of consumer relations, either... That's not to say I favor AT&T at all. They are terrible, too.

No one's blaming the iP4 here - the finger is pointed directly at AT&T.

Actually, on this one, I blame Apple a 100%. After the GREAT success of the first 3 iPhones, iPhone 4 should have opened up to all if not at least 2 carriers on they day of its release.

I was seeing this over the weekend while I was outside of Baltimore, MD.

Today in Raleigh, NC I am back to 1.2Mbps UP from my iPhone 4.
