38kbps upload??

speedtest.PNG

This is pathetic on my iPhone 4.

Greater problems than upload drops

The only thing I have seen as far as service since iPhone 4 was released is "Searching" and one bar. uploads are the least of my issues with this crap ATT service.
I have a 6 day old new born and no service. thankfully there is skype call for 30$ a year.
Can't wait for verizon.

Huge, huge drop in speed:

Can nobody else post a useful set of results like this and not a 960 pixel stretched screenshot? Christ..

why is this a surprise it was a holiday weekend a week after the largest phone launch in history if everyone out there with their new phone is uploading their druken pics to facebook and twitter of course network uploads are going to slow down, and does anyone else find it funny that the same website that may be indited on charges for trade secret violations is the same one that is "breaking" all these iPhone 4 problem stories this phone has no more problems than any other new release people are just pointing them out in public for whatever reason. Out afew thousand complaints out of 600,000 that aint bad!!!! This is crazy psychology at its finest you tell a group of people that someone in the group has a disease and sooner or later they all think they have it, same thing happening here!! my phone smells like cheese!!! lets see if that one gets around LOL!!

Haha! so true!!!

Youre gonna be waiting a while.

I called AT&T - You should call too!

This is getting pathetic. After 9 days of 100 kbps uploads, I called AT&T to see when this is going to be fixed. Afterall I used to get 350kbps consistently on my 3GS!! I was getting 1,600kbps on my iPhone 4 before this started (SEATTLE AREA). The customer service rep hadnt heard anything about the alleged Alcatel Lucent HSUPA bug. He sent a "signal boost" and I rebooted my phone, which unsuprisingly changed nothing. I had already reset my network settings and reset ALL settings a few times to try and fix it myself. I was then sent to a tech and the tech hadnt heard anything about the issue either. I told her to google it and you can find dozens of references to the AT&T press release about the Alcatel Lucent HSUPA bug. She issued a "ticket" and they are going to "look into it". I want to encourage other affected iPhone users to call as well so maybe it will be fixed.

AT&T seems to have fixed the problem here, I just did a speed test in the same location where I was getting 10KB/s before, and got 500 KB/s down and 200 KB/s up.

Just Returned

Just returned to work after a long vacation and noticed this issue today. I work in a building for a company that wired up for AT&T specifically. I'm not sure it's the consumer grade MicroCell that we use or if there's a business MicroCell that was installed, but upload speeds went from 1400 to 65. I restarted my iPhone and got 350 right after restart, but right after that it went back to the 50s.

500kbps down? Ouch. Sounds like some more fixing needs to take place.

Minneapolis Upload speed increase 8/2/10

Today, I'm getting consistent 300K upload speeds in downtown minneapolis. I've seen a high of 900kbps (and a low of zero)

And 3 bars on my iPhone 4 (4.0.1 bar measures).

Downside... I'm only getting 1500-250Kbps download speeds... I get 1 Mbit plus at home 5 miles away.
