iPhone 4 vs. Samsung Infuse 4G

voice navigation

You can use the phone one-handed just fine if you use the voice navigation built in to android.

Send long texts or emails with two button presses (provided you aren't in a noisy area).

Also, swype makes it pretty easy to type with one hand in portrait mode.

It might not be easy for everyone, but its certainly possible.

I have enjoyed swype and voice navigation built in to android. Does iPhone 4 have that option?

Wait a month for either iPhone 5 or Galaxy S 2.

4 months later....

So anyone know if the SGS2 will be available on the 30th or is there going to be a waiting period after the announcement??

I don't get the point of screen size arguments, everyone has their own prefs. When I was using an Atrix, loved the extra screen real estate and it was basically the same exact physical size as my iP3g. Personally, 4-4.3" is good with me. The 3.5 is rather small for me, and I hate all of the wasted space on the front of the phone.

We'll find out on Monday when the Samsung event is held. I doubt you'll have to wait more than a week or two. It has been confirmed that it won't be available on Verizon.

I highly doubt ut'll be available the same day. It's been confirmed there will be Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile variants.

I know about VZ, I'm on att so that doesn't matter. I wanted to wait until I at least saw some real info on the iP5 before upgrading again, but my phone is become less usable by the day. Hopefully before 30 days are up w/the SGS2 Apple will reveal it and I'll actually have a decision to make.

The screen on the Infuse makes the iPhone screen look washed out in comparison. There is really no way to compare as the Infuse is SO much better.

Sounds like someone just bought an Infuse and wants to validate their purchase by hanging out in the iPhone forums and bashing the iPhone when the time is right.

I don't understand why anyone would hang out in an iPhone forum if they don't use an iPhone or plan on getting an iPhone...

Great thread, I am thinking of leaving my WP7 and going with either iPhone5 or Galaxy S2 BUT screen size & quality are my main concerns. We have e iPhone 4 and honestly even though my Focus's display is only 1/2" larger it seems much bigger, brighter and more vivid. That said, I'm thinking iPhone 5(IF the display comes up to at least 4"), Infuse 4G or Galaxy S2 Android... WP7's novelty has worn off after 9 months and updates have been practically non-existent(one small update in 9 months).. The BIG Mango update is coming sometime by winter but by all reports there's not nearly enough to the update to make me think about sticking with it, WP7 is light years away from iOS or Android and app count is not even worth mentioning as a factor..
I do have to say one thing, the AMOLED display is REALLY nice and the Super AMOLED + coming on the GS2 has to be a killer if it is as being reported as being MUCH better then the AMOLED display on my Focus.
Hopefully we will get some definite specs on the iPHone 5 sometime soon, let's face it the Retina display is nothing to sneeze at, really great display but just needs to get BIGGER lol..

I was wrong, I can admit that. :D I did manage to get SGS2 a month after that post though. :)

Because it's the truth? I own both, the iPhone colors do look washed out compared to SGS2 screen, but the resolution is what makes the iPhone screen so nice. Here is to hoping iPhone 5 can match it and have the screen resolution. :D

Samsung Infuse 4G. Available 5.15.11 in the States.

As a current iPhone 4 owner I won't make a decision about my next phone until we see what iPhone 5 entails this fall. However, I love the screen on the Infuse (4.5"). The Infuse is also thinner than the iPhone 4 and equal in weight.

Granted their are other factors to consider (Android of course, etc) but I want to play with this model when I can locally. 3.5" screen of the iPhone is just too small for me.

I looked at the infuse at the ATT store and it was huge. Seemed a bit squared off to me, but the screen was excellent. If it ran IOS, I would love it.
