Yup...it sure is...the BACKSIDE!! That is not the side you would see if you were looking at it through the screen...nice try though:)

It would be great if some one has a front shot off this? I guess you would see the A4 chip and the silver backing?

There is one posted already and it will not let me reload it. The right side and top is accurate and is layered over a circuit board backdrop. The battery is missing. The image was taken from the iFixit tear down which I posted in the first 20 pages of this thread and someone took the image and did the overlay art work which turned out pretty good. Still not accurate portrayal though.

Will someone post the wallpaper that I saw in an iOS 4 screenshots thread of the iPhone 4 internals(not the one with the battery) that has the A4 processor in the pic?

Here's one that if you use it makes it look like there is a stacks line like on the OS X dock.

It works great, thanks for the blank/template. Here is one i used it on.
I also included the lighter color in case someone does not like the darker one.

640x960

I don't get it, what the advantage of this? GIMP/Photoshop/etc clueless (well, I can work them a bit but never learned the advantages of channels, layers, etc).

I'll explain how to do it in GIMP but I don't have anything else so I can't help you there.

First click on the attachment so it opens in a new page and save the image. Once again it will look completely white but it is not. Now open that image in GIMP. It will look like this.

Screen%20shot%202010-07-11%20at%2011.23.22%20AM.png

Now go to File > Open as Layers and choose a background. Now it will just look like the background.

Screen%20shot%202010-07-11%20at%2011.27.52%20AM.png

Go to Windows > Dockable Dialogs > Layers and switch the order of the layers by using drag and drop.

Now you just save it and you're done.

I really enjoy using this as my wallpaper AND homescreen; it's just so simple/easy on the eyes and gives the impression of the apps being thumbtacked to the bulletin board.

Is it possible for any of the photoshop wizzes in this thread to put "iPhone 4" in some type of black font, centered in the middle? I want to use that for a lockscreen so when I slide to unlock it goes back to the simple version with no text.

I'd be eternally grateful. :apple:
