not to be a douche but why are there so many ppl posting pics that aren't the right resolution? isn't the point of this thread to have them at the right res?

anyway on a positive note, thanks for all the wallpapers, there have been a couple of real doozies on here

To add to the thought, there is a screen shots thread so posting just a screen shot is cruel unless you post the original or link to original so others can have at it also. :(

I really appreciate the work that everyone is putting into these shelf backgrounds. They're very cool, especially the different textures. I think they're all missing something though... I'll post a quick example in just a couple minutes here.

Ahh. Nvm. Won't let me post an image. Hold on...

Kay. Available in Cydia. Wallpaper is live (it moves...).

how's the Nexus One wallpaper on the battery?

Since I'm hardly on my wallpaper for long, I don't even notice a decrease. The only time I'm on it for longer than a few seconds is when I'm tinkering with it while it's connected, and even then it's charging.

Thanks! How did you do this? Every time I tried to scale down an image in GIMP it would always look stretched out.

I'm not sure how gimp works, I use Photoshop. In ps I create a new image 640x960 pixels and then open the photo I want to choose. On the photo I, depending on which one, either select an area or just select the entire thing. Copy, paste onto the 640x960 image I created. From there I use the transform/scale tool and play around with it until it looks somewhat natural. I try to keep the height/width percentages even so they don't look stretched. There's probably a better way as I'm no expert, but hopefully this helps!
