Alright--spent a lot of time working on a template that basically recreates the iPhone lockscreen and homescreen overlay so you can see what the backgrounds look like in PS while you're making them. I'll share that a bit later. Anyway, here are some backgrounds I whipped up tonight.
Some of them are more for my own guilty pleasure and I was just tinkering in PhotoShop. Enjoy (there are more in my Background gallery here):
I like this one because if your app page is full it just looks black, but when there are some missing it's got a cool hidden carbon fiber look underneath.
Anyone want a top dock?

When I was there I turned off my Flash and kept my camera parrallel to the floor snapping pics...not sure why I can't, I understand the flash would ruin the work, but why not a flash free photo?

The colors on this one seemed a bit washed out, so I saturated it up and tinkered with it just a bit.
Alright, I finished my template that allows you to overlay accurate (VERY accurate, if I do say so myself!) homescreen and lockscreen interfaces with all their subtle transparencies over any background you like.
1) This allows you to know exactly what the background will look like without having to sync and test and yada yada.
2) This allows you to mimic the look of the interface if you want to do other creative things (such as creating a top dock that looks just like the bottom dock)
3) I was bored, so shut up!
Here's a screen of it w/the homescreen overlay turned on. You can download the PhotoShop file here!
I hope some of you PhotoShoppers can get some use out of it!
