Here's a 640x960 one that I made using that twitpic I posted. It's definitely not the best, I stretched the length and then copied and pasted the second half. But it looks good when it's shrunken to iPhone sizes. I tried just putting four of the images together, but that really didn't look right.

Here's my attempt to make a wallpaper using GIMP and this one is from scratch unlike my other ones, although I did follow a tutorial. I need more practice. I'm going to attempt to make a better looking one later.

I like this,

It will go great with the black of the iPhone 4 and the app icons.

Thanks :). And that's what I was thinking. Using this, but a little bit better one, with a black iPhone and a green bumper.

I just edited the colors in photoshop to make it a "bit" better haha :p

If you want i can post it

Definitely. I can use all the help I can get. :p

Haha im no pro photoshop here but i changed the colors a bit more to my liking ;P.

Perhaps a bit more abstract :D

I added alot more light blue i thought it would look a bit better

I just want to point out again that quite a few of these wallpapers aren't actually 640 x 960. Some have been significantly off actually. I love the one mathieuheartmac posted, but it's actually 533 x 800.

You are right...I just checked mine again and I am off by 20pix...dang it...I will fix tomorrow and replace the one I posted. Sorry folks :(

Not to beat a dead horse, but I posted some instructions a few pages back that make it pretty simple to get an exact 640 x 960 image every time using GIMP. Here they are again:

1.) Open the wallpaper you'd like to crop. File-->Open
2.) Select the Rectangle Select tool. Top left of the Toolbox
3.) Draw a rectangle of any size on your image.
4.) With the select rectangle highlighted, specify the size of your select rectangle as 640 x 960. Toolbox-->Size
5.) Check the "Fixed: Aspect Ratio" check box in the Toolbox.
6.) You can now move adjust the size of the select box to best fit your image and maintain the aspect ratio of the iPhone. For optimal results, the size must stay above 640 x 960.
7.) Once you have your wallpaper framed correctly, click Image-->Crop to Selection
8.) Now click Image-->Scale Image. Input the width of 640 and tab to the next box. If you did steps 3 - 5 correctly, the Height will auto-populate as 960.
9.) Click Scale.

EDIT: I could do a quick screen recording using that new feature in Snow Leopard if anyone is interested in seeing the process done.

I redid it. I added darker shadows and made the bottom a little bit less faded looking. What do you guys think? If you would like a different color, ask me and I'll do it. I'm thinking about doing one in every color that the bumpers are in.

I'm bored. Here's a video walkthrough using the full size version of one of the wallpapers mathieuheartmac posted earlier that was incorrectly sized:

EDIT: Video quality is pretty crappy, but YouTube says it's still processing. It's a 720p file though. Maybe I should post to Vimeo...

EDIT2: Looks like the quality will be better at Vimeo. It's in queue to be processed though --> http://www.vimeo.com/12704626
