The 4S is the "iPhone 5"

Yep I went from 4 to 4S and I will go 4S to 5. People think I'm crazy for upgrading everytime, but whatever. lol

I give the old phone to my girlfriend and buy the new one.

 Stop with iPhone 5 talk... the 4S IS the 5th iPhone
I'm growing tired of people saying they're going to wait for the "iPhone 5" vs. grabbing an iPhone 4S.
STOP IT PEOPLE!
Apple iPhone releases:
iPhone (1st)
iPhone 3G (2nd)
iPhone 3GS (3rd)
iPhone 4 (4th)
iPhone 4S (5th)
Next iPhone (6th)

Logic would suggest that the next iPhone WILL NOT be called the iPhone 5. Maybe iPhone 4G, maybe iPhone 6 or perhaps full circle and just call it simply iPhone again.

It's really funny how many people want the latest and greatest, Would you replace a Bentley GT with another Bentley GT just because one has sat nav that talks back to you and the other one doesn't?

Each to their own but people really need to think ablaut how they are spending money, Siri advert shows people doing things Business man setting up appointment etc for those people maybe the 4s is good + 3GS switches for the majority of others its just to say they have the latest which is sad as when you pear them up there is little difference.

Same as the marketing some people just don't see it, they say it has improved battery life, not improved talking battery life but you lose 100 hours compared to the 4, but the sheep don't care its Apple (A company i like, but I'm old enough to know when to spend) How many of you drop 1k on a new imac every year? Guess not many as the she eps mates might not see it so you don't get that buzz you want cos your mates crowed around to see it.

Ps The late great :apple:Steve Jobs:apple: drove and 2006 SL 55 AMG, He had the money to upgrade yearly, he never but the ones that think they have money, not even on Job's Level throw their money to apple, more for you.:cool:

Going hit the thumbs down cods truth hurts people.

Personal preference. While I agree with you, it's their choice to buy whatever they want. This is capitalism in it's finest and the envy that follows!

No, I will not be upgrading to the next iPhone. I plan on upgrading every other year, if even that.

Since when is a $200K car equal to a $200 phone? How long do most people keep their car? 5, 6, 7+ years, right? How long do most people keep their phone? 2 years. So upgrading a $200 device once a year versus a $200,000 automobile might not provide a contextually accurate comparison.

Not to mention the sat nav system in any car is only a very small component of features. Start getting into body styles, engines, drive trains, etc...worthy items that make people buy a car...

OnlY if there is a significant reason to do so. I obviously know the next one is coming out next year, but that'd didn't stop me from preordering that morning; of course taking into account the ICS announcement that was just a few hours ago.

I'll probably keep the 4S though; aside from UI, there isn't really anything else that I'd want.

IMO I think Siri is going to get a complete overhaul by ten, with the 4S being the major beta. Think full voice integration. I'm excited.

No, not if the new iPhone launches while I am under my current contract. I refuse to pay a fee for escaping a contract. Anyways, I plan to keep my 4s for three years or so. :)

Since when was an iPhone $200? Gah thats why I hate these subsidized pricing bull, it lowers the value of an iPhone, especially when its time to resell.

i guess everyone has their toys they like. mine happen to be apple products, for the time being. i'll buy the next phone when it's released, and sell my current one just like i have for the last 3 phones

Hell's yeah.

Do not want ICS looks like kack, moto razr with its stupid camera hump looks dumb and the galaxy nexus must be one of the ugliest phones yet and it has a pentile matrix display to boot.

If for some bizzare reason I wasn't going to get the next iPhone I'd o or th new Nokia WP7 the N800.

Ever since the iPhone 3G was back in 08 with a 2 year contract. But I agree. I dislike subsidized pricing quite a bit. I'd rather buy the phone at full price, not be stuck with a contract, and then be able to turn around a year later and sell it for a little less than I paid for it. Weird to think that the iPhone 4 costs about as much as an iPad 2. Yet the resale value is nowhere near the same.

I'm upgrading to the next phone regardless if it is a 4gs in the same form factor or a redesigned 5/6. Right now I'm enjoying the 4s

If this is how you truly feel, please seek medical attention. People will be speculating about the next iPhone name for the next 9-12 months. You will likely stroke out by then if you keep this mind set.

Depends - if it offers something I like than sure I will. If not, I am not such a rabid fanboy that I'd buy whatever Apple puts out - though that usually isn't a problem.

Absolutely... I've had every version of the iPhone, I see no reason to stop with the iPhone 5.

Well I started with the 3G then 3GS then 4, and now 4S but I used to be able to upgrade every 12 months, now AT&T changed it to 18 months, so I have this one until 5-13-2013 now, so will not upgrade until the 5S or 6 as I refuse to pay full retail now.

I have the 4S in White with 32GB on AT&T and it fits my needs very well.

Yes. I want the newest model the day it comes out with every generation. Only gen I skipped was the 3GS.
