Is it really an AT&T model? LOL, **** just gets better. What have they said in regard to that? Surely it's definitive enough proof that they screwed up big time.
In hindsight I always take photographic proof of any item I'm sending off which are time stamped and in some cases I add in the picture that days newspapers front page.
Extreme i know but its better to be safe than sorry !
What do you mean you do it in hindsight? You mean you always wish you did?
Suppose that's worth a shot, thanks!Every phone is unique. If you have the original iPhone 4s box the serial number is written on the box. Simply show the serial number of the phone you sent is NOT the serial number of the phone you received.
This is the way it sounds to me. You sent Apple the same phone they sent you back an iPhone 4. You make a big beef about it, write to the editors, hound everybody you can at Apple. And you just hope it's easier for Apple to say " oh maybe we made a mistake" and send you a brand new iPhone 4S that you did not pay for?? Of course you bought the 64G model to yeah mmhmm I did too 🙂
Apple would not make the kind of mistake you're talking about. If you sent them a brand new iPhone 4S they wouldn't send you some crappy beat up iPhone 4 and nobody at the shipping place or whatever opened your package up and swapped out phones. You want something for nothing and trying to pull a scam it sounds like to me.
Sorry to bust your bubble, but the model number of this iPhone 4 is an AT&T model (MC319LLA)
Do I look as if I live in the US?

And what is this supposed to mean? I would hate for it to be what it sounds like and you know, get this post reported.
He means why would he have sent it through royal mail if he was from the US? Wouldn't it not have been through a US equivalent?
Still nothing at all despite directly contacting executives in Apples International Sales Office (Ireland) and US.
🙁
a similar thing happened to me when i shipped my black iPhone 4 in for service (broken sleep/wake button) and received a white iPhone 4 with shattered glass and the old user's data all over it.
i called the service location in the netherlands where it was shipped and they send a DHL truck to pick it up the next day, and then gave me a brand new iPhone 4 with a brand new 2 year warranty to cover for the trouble.
overall i was pleased that this happened because i got a fresh battery after a year of use, plus an extended warranty, just for the hassle of waiting an extra week.
Proof of purchase alongside other pieces have already been provided. This could easily be solved by providing the serial number and imei on the box the 4S came in. I'm not sure why that hasn't been done. If you can provide that to apple, it would be reasonable for them to believe you. Just claiming what you're claiming without some sort of proof of purchase isn't going to go far. Whether it be a receipt, proof on your phone bill, original box, something. This is why I'm having a lot of trouble believing this story, but my girlfriend is from the UK originally and I know the royal mail service is shady. I hope it gets resolved, but if you follow some of my advice above you should see progress.
