Reason I upgraded: had my 3GS for 29 months. Going to rock the 4S. Guessing my next phone will be the 5S. anyone wanna fight about it?

Not really. iPhone 5 comes out your 4s drops in price by around $200-300.

Not hardly. I sold my 2.5 yr old 3Gs for $200 in decent condition.
At the same time others were selling the 4 for $300-$450+

Doesn't matter when it's released, I don't have to worry about the cost.

Besides it woudnt surprise me if AT&T allows its loyal customers to upgrade in June anyway. Good luck to Verizon and Sprint customers.

It's very good to see Apple scrambling to makeup for lost time. Their failure to introduce the iP5 sooner was a sign of ongoing arrogance & assumption that they are untouchable. This did not resonate well with many of their loyal customers. It also sent mixed signals that were easily interpreted as deliberate complacency.

While it's still unclear of where Apples priorities lie, it's a step in the right direction. No company is invinceable, yet Apple has such strong grip on their followers that its able to stifle innovation all in the name of being "cool".

Why should anyone be upset if Apple updates to the iPhone 5 in 8 months?? Some people may like their 4S and keep it anyway. I don't think that not having the most up to date release should upset people. And if someone wants it bad enough they'll buy it regardless of whether its 8 months or 12 months since the last release.

Every thread on MR has people who are so high and mighty.

OP has a legit point. Apple knows they have a core group of iPhone users who buy each generation. It would be a dick move to pull an Android and release a new phone within 8 months.

Firstworldproblems; because being ticked off at the next iPhone is bigger than poverty, hunger, war .
